BREAKING NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!! THE BAD GUYS IS GETTING A SEQUEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It's coming out on August 1st, 2025 (although I already kind of knew it would come out in 2025 cuz of a leak from LinkedIn) and most of the original cast is coming back, as is the original director, with the addition of a character animator from the original. Anyway, it sounds great!!!!! I still can't believe it's been THAT long!!!!!!!!! Anyway, happy Easter, and happy early birthday to TBG!!!!!!!! ๐บ๐๐ท๐ฆ๐๐ฆ

The Evolution of Style in 3D Film
I wanted to show how much theatrical animation has changed in the last few years. Incorporating 2D elements has always been attempted but was rare and went unnoticed. Thatโs not the case anymore with more adopting it, anime too!
THE BAD GUYS: A VERY BAD HOLIDAY
Well, it finally arrived and there are hints that The Bad Guys are getting a TV series!
The Netflix Original/DreamWorks card in the speciall was not Christmas themed. It also said series - not special. Some other signs are that it seemed like they skipped a theme song (a seperate theme composer is even credited), the way they had the crew's names in the beginning, the title card (Webs was not wearing her Christmas hoodie like in the special), and the credits music was not Christmas themed. Plus, I don't think they would have downgraded rhe animation or used different actors unless they were going to make a series. Anyway, those things are pretty suspicious and, hopefully, point to an upcoming TV show. ๐ค Anyways, Merry Christmas or, as Wolfie would put it, "Happy heisting to all, and to all a good heist!"

Diane has been confirmed for the new racer! Now all we need is Snake. XD Although, wow, they have that uncanny PS2/PS3 era look. I don't mind, but they could have given Wolf a better character model for the image. He looks like he had one energy drink too many. Fiona looks photoshoped too.
(POSSIBLE BREAKING NEWS ABOUT A TBG SEQUEL)
So, I know I'm a bit late, but I thought I might as well report about it anyway. Dreamworks has 3 films scheduled for release in 2025. One of those films is an as- yet unnamed sequel. From my analysis, most Dreamworks films, tend to be released 3 or so years apart. 2025 marks the 3 year anniversary of The Bad Guys release. That, combined with the fact that the upcoming film is also being used as a test of sorts for the Sony Imageworks partnership, kind of makes me think it (might) be a sequel to TBG. Anyway, however it may go, DreamWorks will handle all of the creative stuff as well as 50% of the asset build and one hour of production, while Imageworks will handle the other 50% as well as 20 minutes of shot production. They will and that be responsible for "entire sequences and standalone parts of the film, rather than receiving random shots and pick-up work," according to a report made by Cartoon Brew. Given the fact that TBG seems to be Dreamworks' latest golden child, I wouldn't consider it too far-fetched. Anyway, just my two cents! Until then, I'll be looking forward to the Christmas special and whatever else comes out in between now and a (possible) sequel. ๐บ๐๐ฆ๐ท๐๐ฆ
