The Art of the Covenant

Two years ago I did a drawing of Rin Okumura from Blue Exorcist and I had a love/hate relationship with it once it was finished because of a mistake I made inking it (and did not manage to cover up well with white-out and pencil crayons - that’s what the bandaid looking patch on his neck is). I’ve been meaning to get into digital art so I took the image I had of it before the mistake and coloured it in photoshop and I am in love with how it turned out and I hope you like it too!

I also drew Jughead Jones from Archie Comics tonight! As great as Cole Sprouse’s acting is I definitely prefer Jughead from the comics.

Got a new sketchbook today! I really want to get into the habit of drawing daily. I’ve wanted to watch Futurama forever so I finally tried the first episode and drew while I watched so have a different style of Leelah and a weird futuristic creature! Also I really like the show so far.

I was actually in a bit of an art mood tonight and I ended up drawing Viago from What We Do in the Shadows. If you’ve been part of the Thor: Ragnarok fandom you’ll prob recognize that he’s played by the brilliant Taika Waititi and I hope I did him justice.

I present to you another assignment from my photography class! For this project we could physically manipulate images we found online or old photos and scan them back into the computer. So none of this is photoshopped! I chose all of my photos from movies. In order: Blade Runner, Harry Potter, Star Wars (for anyone wondering it’s the planet Coruscant) and The Wizard of Oz. For the effects on Blade Runner and Star Wars I manipulated the picture as it was scanning by either changing the light conditions or moving the image. For Harry Potter I basically soaked it in water after it had printed. And for Oz I just combined two different images, one of them half shredded.

I’m getting a bit better at folds I think lol. Here’s a Jim Halpert from The Office for you all. The sticker on his forehead just says Hello My Name Is Jim.
