My Life to date
For many years now in my 20's I have wanted to create a Youtube channel where I can interview people in their 20's and ask them about their lives today and what they hope for for the future, and what advice they would give people who are upcoming teans in their early 20s hopefully, so that they can get advise on how to improve themselves.
I FEEL
I feel like a lot of us especially today want things to work out immediately you know, we are pressured by social media and feel as if we are being left behind, the FOMO is real, so much so that the idea of taking action is also crippling as we feel hapless in the beginning, that usually gets us to not take action. I hope that this platform, will allow people in their 20s and younger even older dare I say, to see that not all of us figured it out from the beginning and that life has its turns, hopefully it can show people that life can be better for the future and that we don't have to figure everything out from the beginning.
My 20s
I am currently 26 turning 27 sometime later this year, my late teens and early 20s came with a lot of opportunity I was quite overwhelmed yet had a great outlook for my life in the future. I dabbled in a few business ideas quite seriously creating products and selling, prospecting for new business deals and clients. I also participated in a lot of social development programs and community upliftment organisations, trying to learn about the world and where I can have the most impact. Today 6-7 years later I feel like I have underachieved, apart from my current business that is struggling to exist. I am 26 with a diploma, working part-time, all the opportunities seem to be disappearing, and this is quite disheartening right with everything that I had going for me in my 20s, I have people till today saying they are waiting for the day I make it because I have a lot of potential. This is quite difficult to deal with honestly I dont know how to move forward from here.

South African Police
Nah, I think cops need to be chilled, bro. My lived experience here makes me appreciate that I live in SA, for all the hate they get, I think the SAPS's approach is one that is welcoming and unintimidating at first contact and pushes for corrective measures. But is it still effective in quelling crime and getting rid of criminals.
"In SA we say the police don't work until they are looking for you."
Well you might say but this is just recent well, we've seen them doing this before at an even wider scale. Consider the article below
NATIONAL police commissioner General Bheki Cele woke up yesterday morning and continued with his job as usual. But a few hours later, Presid
Our polices demeanor is more of a corrective and anti-crime than a suspicion and guily till proven innocent approach it allows citizens to not feel anxious if they didn't do the crime but also makes police more approachable.
The tough approach for police makes it difficult for citizens to trust them, not that police fighting crime heavily and armed is a bad approach definitely nit saying that. Police end up having bad stereotypes like in the USA (the police i met in America we chill AF) where citizens call them for nothing just a hunch because they think someone shouldn't be there in a sovereign country.
The view I have of American police is that they are intimidating, and are suspicious of you at any and every interaction, of this is driven by the social media, in a country for 700k police we only see a small fraction of incidents but hey the approach of the police to quell these accusations is none. Making it seem like a common problem.
But then that isn't the case in South Africa, which is great honestly. The police here might be known to be lazy but wait until they look for you. We've seen it with the recent arrests and shootings, we saw it during Cele's time 12years ago while he was "mr shoot to kill top cop". But there is no stigma arising why because police give you a chance to plead your innocent and you laugh about it or shit gets real and you find out.
At least that's how I feel about it.

A sea of Red takes over the Iconic Moses Mabhida stadium.
The Economic Freedom Fighters in a sea of Red, took over the Iconic Moses Mabhida stadium on Saturday during the parties, 2024 election manifesto launch.
A couple of months from filling up the FNB soccer city stadium in July 2023, the EFF aimed at creating and showing force through sheer numbers at the Moses Mabhida stadium. The event was hosted in Durban KZN the most contested province after Gauteng due to its voter size and ability to swing votes.
The stadium is said to have been 85%+ full, or full enough to convince many political pundits, that the EFF will be a force to be reckoned with in the upcoming national and provincial elections.
I attended the manifesto, and these are some of the pictures and videos from the stadium.
