It's not even subtle. In Ressurrection of Ra's al Ghul the story ends with Talia knocking out Damian and running away with him to protect his life from getting sacrificed in Bruce's plans. Bruce is still framed as sympathetic because the writer ends the book with Bruce talking to Alfred about how he is concerned about his son's wellbeing, but wants Damian to have "free choice" so he won't force him to be with him. And then they celebrate christmas without Damian, which...I'm still not sure what the writer was thinking by including that in the plot. With the hindsight that Damian becomes an established member of the batfamily a lot of the early writing decisions make the batfamily look a bit like uncaring assholes even though I'm pretty sure that wasn't the writer's intention.
Once DC decided that Damian should be part of the batfamily all of that changed. Suddenly Talia was the ultimate evil that had no real love towards her son and she was going crazy. Her wanting her son to be with her was framed as evil and selfish. So even though Bruce was a pretty shit father in Morrison's run and Dick wasn't exactly loving either they would look like the better option.

Short of being inside Nora’s head here is a (mostly) (I think) biblically accurate and to scale model of the Foxhole Court and Nora I have a several questions.
Also rendered so many images of this I had like 50 cameras in the scene would y’all care if I just did a photo dump.
God I have so many things to say about working on this I had to restart like 8 times it was a mess but if I start I won't be able to stop Imao though if anyone's interested in a breakdown of all the sections and materials I would be more than happy to make a post yapping about it.

I really wanna expand this and add the ticket both/ food stalls as well as all the behind the scenes areas like the locker room, foyer, foxes lounge, ect. I’ve been slowly mapping out where everything is so shout out to Neil for being overly anxious and needing to map out the layout and exits of every room he walks into.
