Desired Character: Moira Greengrass

Moira is currently unaffiliated to any side of the battle, and I think that would be pretty neat to play out. She is a very intelligent, strong woman, who has the ‘boots to bows’ thing down (as we country folk call it). She is smart and curious, and out to defy all expectations of her. I want to play her, because its really going to turn into a ‘what side recognizes her skills quicker’ deal I feel like, in regards to her loyalty. She is from a traditionally supremacist family, but I honestly think her natural curiosity in things could sway her. Or not. It really depends. That alone will be fun, not to mention the sheer amount of class Moira seems to have. It seems like the type of character I, once again, would not normally play, so why not give it a shot? Shes fascinating.

Ships/Anti Ships:

Moira x Chemistry. There is nothing canon with Moira, so it really turns into more of a whoever she has chemistry with idea. She’s dynamic too, so I really don’t think there is anyone truly off limits, haha.

Headcanons:

Tends to have a ‘holier than thou’ attitude in regards to just about everyone. In Moira’s world, Moira is the smartest person. Anyone who says otherwise is clearly an ignorant buffoon.

A quick thinker, Moira is actually a decent liar, able to bat her eyelashes and get away with anything it seems.

Naturally curious, Moira is often found with some sort of reading material on her. She is one to read the gossip rags as well, enjoying finding dirt on her fellow students.

All smiles and a beauty, Moira can back that up with a large amount of venom if you get on her bad side. That smile can really quickly look like snarling teeth instead.

Not the type for outright confrontation, Moira prefers to take people down behind their backs, ruthlessly. When you get on her bad side, it is very hard to get off. Moira is vicious and holds grudges, and won’t stop until she’s proven that she is in fact superior.

Her intelligence makes her playing of mind games easy. Aware of her own beauty and elegance, Moira has fucked around with more than one persons head by wrapping them around her finger and making them jump at her command. The Queen of the tease, she gets what she wants by staying just out of reach.

Intelligence wise, Moira truly is very smart. She does best in Charms and Transfiguration, although is not too shabby at Potions either.

Moira tends to prefer form fitting clothes and cute flirty dresses. She definitely reminds those around her of how pretty she is, and is not afraid to use it to her advantage.

Biography:

Moira is part of the Greengrass family, which is a member of the sacred twenty-eight, making them highly regarded within certain circles due to their blood status. Thus, she was taught from day one that she was different that other wizards, better than them in fact. The oldest daughter, Moira was given plenty of attention as a child, cherish and spoiled, given whatever she was wanted. Granted, it usually was not her own parents doing this, but servants and such. However, little Moira learned how to flash her sweet smile, and how it wrapped everyone around her little finger.

When Maia came along, not much changed. In fact, it was not until she was a little older that Moira began questioning everything. Her favourite word would quickly become “why?” in response to almost everything she was taught. When told “because thats the way it is, Moira,” she wouldn’t take that as an acceptable answer. Instead, she would go find answers on her own. Her parents were never truly angry with her, just…confused. Moira, although loved, was nothing more than a pawn, truthfully. She would be married off to a pureblood boy, and they would secure the Greengrass family in the steady ebb and flow of power and dominance. Cute little girls were not supposed to question the process. They were supposed to listen and take that word as gospel.

It was a surprise to the Greengrass family when Moira was sorted into Ravenclaw. Although, if you asked Moira, she would tell you she was not too shocked. Her thirst for knowledge and obviously superior intelligence fight right in among those who wore blue. Moira settled well into Ravenclaw, her grades, like many Ravenclaws, spectacular. However, it did change Moira’s outlook, on everything. Why did they treat certain blood purities differently? Why did her brother join the Dark Lord’s followers? Why shouldn’t she? Why should she? What did become clear to her, however, was how everyone else saw her.

They saw blonde hair, a pretty face, and no brains. They saw what her parents wanted her to be. Another pretty girl to be married off and start a perfect little family. At this point, Moira doesn’t just want to follow some senseless path and fade away into such a cliche role. No, she was going to forge her own way, form her own opinions, and if anyone dared tell her know, she would show them just had mean this seemingly sweet ‘airhead’ could be.

If possible, I would like Moira put into the Astronomy Club. She seems like the type to be curious about what’s beyond. As well, I could see her being a member of the Slug Club, if that is possible.

I would like to change the faceclaim to Blake Lively, if thats possible. She would fit Moira well, I think.

Oh dear, I’ve quite a bit of experience roleplaying, spanning from other websites to here on Tumblr. On Tumblr alone, I’ve probably been roleplaying for about two years, on and off within the Harry Potter fandom. I’ve done a few characters in the Marauder’s Era, and I can provide some links if the admins are interested!

Why do you want them? 

I’ve simply felt as though I have had a strong connection with Lily. She’s always interested me as a character, whether it be whilst reading the books or trying to delve a little bit more into the Marauder history. While I’ve got quite a few things in common with her, I am also rather different in several ways, which always makes it very intriguing to roleplay her character. She’s very strong-willed, determined, and incredibly caring, which is always a thrill to play.

While I don’t really have any particular ‘anti-ships’, I would say James and Lily are quite obviously the go-to ship for me. However, I even like delving into Lily and Severus’ past and their relationship. I enjoy seeing what relationships with others will do to affect the character development as a whole.

Headcanons:

Two, preferably detailed. 

e.g Marlene always loved peppermint toads, ever since she was a child. If you ever need to placate or want to bribe Marlene, peppermint toads are the way to do it.

Contrary to popular belief, Lily Evans is not nearly as bookish as she is made out to be, nor can her nose be found in the recesses of Hogwarts, A History at all times. While a good deal of her Head duties can be contributed to her studies, it is equally contributed to the courtesy delivered to those of her peers.

Though Lily finds Sirius Black to be slightly distasteful and highly inappropriate, there is a small bone in her body, one she would refuse the existence had anyone questioned, that held something acutely similar to admiration. Though they seemed to clash on nearly every subject known to man and wizard, the more she grew to know him, the more she had learned about his family. And with a sister who had all but disowned her, Lily could not think of something more heroically brave than sticking his head up and fighting for what was right, even if left him without a home.

If there is one thing known of Lily Evans, it’s that hot-tempered, fiery behaviour that she has been known to let flare. It’s not something she is particularly proud of, but it is also not something she even bothers to acknowledge. Lily may be a caring, kind, and helpful individual, but that doesn’t mean she’d think twice about hexing some bloke’s buttocks off if he’d done wrong to one of her mates.

Biography:

Expand on the given bio - their home life, Hogwarts/post Hogwarts life, personality, etc. Whatever comes to mind.

The beginning came easy. Lily had a family. She had a mum and a dad, she had a sister, and she was unequivocally normal. Perhaps there were some things here or there that could have seemed just a tad bit off to a perfectly normal muggle family, but those things made no matter. Something levitating across the room when Lily was happy or angry, whether her parents noticed or not, was mere coincidence.

Soon though, there was a boy, just as there always is. He wasn’t that kind of boy though, she didn’t want to give him flowers or chase him around the playground. No, this boy was so much more, and as Lily grew, he would grow to be so much more as well, he would be the one to change it all, really.

Lily Evans was a witch, and she would never be the same.

Her first sight of magic had been unreal, but the platform and the steam engine and the castle and the magic - the real, proper magic - was unlike anything she had ever known, it was unlike anything she could ever imagine. That was the day there was no going back, that was the day Lily Evans would know the change in her life could have never been a better one.

As the years came and went, however, magic wasn’t nearly as innocent and wholesome as it once seemed. The middle ground between the Wizarding and Muggle worlds were throwing her off her feet. Days at Hogwarts were never the same as days at home, but there were those minute details that left her befuddled. Her sister’s pitying and refusal of Lily’s magic was in striking similarity to the outlook of blood purity from the Purebloods. 

She should have known, however, that the moment her sister had gone, so would everything else. Petunia, Severus, her sanity. And if you were to ask Lily, she’d have little hope she would make it out of Hogwarts with her head on right. Only time can tell, but even then it’s not that convincing.

Lily was given Gryffindor Prefect in her fifth year, and that role continues on in the new school year, a position she takes very dearly to heart and one she wants to do justice. She also belongs to the Slug Club, run by their professor, Horace Slughorn.

Why do you want them? Honestly because I need Tedromeda in my life. I know the character is more than the ship but I love Ted, I mean he’s half of the reason Tonks is the great character she is. We can see a little about him and a few words across the book make you feel how warm and jovial he really is in spite of being in two wars and running away to help his family.

Ships/Anti Ships:

Chemistry, I mean is ultimate Tedromeda and I get that but I don’t mind a few chemistry relationships or hookups before that happens.

Headcanons:

1.  He’s a clumsy guy. Where do you think Dora get it from? Andy? she’s a regal queen and Ted is the clumsy peasant that doesn’t mind stumbling on his way if he reaches to his goal.

2. He doesn’t mind stepping into fight but is not usually who starts them. You can see him helping his friends, even standing up for himself but he never goes to someone and starts a discussion just because he disagrees with their opinions. Usually he’s really mellow and would just chill around the castle.

3. He always has some sort of candy on him, small wrappers can be found in his pockets from his little stash.

Biography:

Ted was the only child of a muggle couple in Sussex, they loved his son deeply and tried to give him the best life they could. Even as an only child Ted was never alone, he had a large set of family, lots of uncles and cousins, that made the holidays festive and his childhood blissful. Along with that he also had a great set of friends, his warmth, loyalty and kindness spreading to the kids his age like fire made him had all sorts of friends. Until he received his letter from Hogwarts.

Ted never thought he was special, he really didn’t, he didn’t think he was rubbish either but he was just content with himself, however once he found magic and the reason he felt a little different from the rest (like how he didn’t have bruises after someone bullied or fought with him) he found himself a little more happy with him. However not everything was rainbows and puppies since he had to lie to his family about his ‘boarding school’ and had to leave his friend behind, but Ted took the best out of the situation as he always tried to do.

Once at Hogwarts Ted’s life became more or less like his past one, he made instant friends with his housemates and found rather too soon about the blood status people wanted to set around the school. He never felt so compelled to said anything until someone called him ‘mudblood’; he was so proud about his father and family that once those words came out of the Slytherin, Ted’s hand moved to his jaw blowing the first fist for the first time of his life. Since then Ted has tried to ignore the comments of everyone besides his friends but things are getting tense around the magical world and he knows sooner or later he would have to pick sides.

Narcissa has grown accustomed to being adored over the years, which has made her engagement with Lucius a little rocky. No longer is she able to use her appearance and charms to get what she wants from men — at least not publicly. And the fact that her soon to be husband doesn’t fawn over her like she’s so used to doesn’t help matters either. (Lucius/Narcissa, Narcissa/Chemistry)

Headcanons:

First and foremost, Narcissa desires power and standing in the wizarding community. Bred to be a proper pureblood wife from the moment she was able to speak, she has spent her entire life being groomed to be the woman behind a powerful man - the eloquent wife that he wears on his arm to every function. She wants nothing more than to be the support behind her successful husband. At least, that’s what she allows people to believe. The truth of the matter is, she wishes to be just as powerful. In a world run by men, she’s well aware of her place, but that doesn’t mean she is resigned to be exactly what is expected of her. There are ways for a woman to be successful and still hold the facade of supportive spouse. She knows exactly how to plant an idea in a man’s head, to make him think it was all his in the first place and it’s exactly how she plans to get herself to the top on the back of her future husband’s success. While no one would take a woman like her seriously were she to try it on her own, they’d never think twice about allowing a man of proper standing to climb up the political ladder. Even though her childhood was not as picturesque as one might believe, an ill word regarding it is not likely to pass through the youngest Black’s mouth. She is nothing if not loyal, especially towards her family. In fact, there is little more important in her eyes than her family, which is why Sirius’ betrayal hurt her so deeply. Although she may not share her eldest sister’s more radical beliefs - she’d never admit it, of course - and doesn’t quite approve of Andromeda’s sudden change in demeanor, never has she so much as considered choosing someone else over them. She doesn’t understand how someone could turn their back on their flesh and blood and doubts she ever will. Her loyalty extends to those she deems worthy as well. They are few and far between, but once Narcissa has decided someone is worth her efforts, she’s fiercely loyal towards them. While she is outspoken in her beliefs (ones that match her elder sister’s, with a pinch less vigor) Narcissa has a very hard time raising her wand at anyone. While she’d do so in self defense, attacking people - regardless of their blood status - isn’t really something she makes a habit out of. She knows this makes her look weak in the eyes of numerous other Slytherins who plan to join the Dark Lord upon graduation, but she was never that sort of fighter. If she could help it, she’d have nothing to do with this blood war anyway. Sure, she thinks herself above muggleborns, but she hardly feels the need to kill them with her own hands because of that. Of course, that sort of talk isn’t very becoming of a Black, so she tends to keep her more soft opinions to herself. The last thing she needs is someone labeling her a blood traitor like her cousin. Although she’s part of the inner circle of Slytherins, she is nowhere near as ruthless as the rest of them. While she makes her views known, she is not the sort to get her hands dirty and prefers to watch the people around her act upon their disgust rather than do it herself. She’s far better at cutting people with her words than she ever would be with her wand, though there’s never any doubt of which sort of individual she would like to see cut down. Like the rest of her family, she holds a severe amount of hatred for those with dirty blood. While she is much unlike Bellatrix in the way that she demonstrates said hatred, Narcissa has quite the knack for getting others to do her dirty work for her. Being charismatic and beautiful helps quite a bit when it comes to needing a traitor punished for their insolence. Although she likes to think of herself as level-headed, there are instances where she finds herself in the midst of a childish tantrum. Being so use to getting what she wants and not hearing the word no, Narcissa has a very hard time dealing with not getting her way. To say she is spoiled would be quite the understatement. She was born with a silver spoon in her mouth and endeavors to keep it that way. As a result, when she decides she wants something, there is very little that can be done to dissuade her. She gets what she wants, period. Even though it may take her a little time to obtain it.

Biography:

Being born into the prestigious house of Black is an honor in and of itself, something that in all of her sixteen years, Narcissa has never forgotten. While her childhood was not as picturesque as one might believe, an ill word regarding it is not likely to pass through the youngest Black’s mouth. She is nothing if not loyal, especially towards her family. With a childhood spent attending parties thrown by the highest members of wizarding society, Narcissa learned at a very young age how to act like a proper pureblood woman. While her elder sister Bellatrix opted to spend her time being slightly defiant and Andromeda kept more to herself than anything else, Narcissa found it her duty to become the proper aristocratic woman that her mother so desperately wanted for all of her children. This, of course, wasn’t nearly enough to gain her the attention she so desperately seeks from her parents, but being the determined young woman she is, she never let a bit of failure stop her.

Receiving her letter for Hogwarts was less exciting than it was expected for her family. Being the youngest of three daughters, she was the last to attend and had spent two years prior to her first hearing about what Hogwarts was like. It was nothing in comparison to finally arriving on the castle’s doorstep, however. Even in all of its magnificence, Narcissa still found herself overcome with worry about what lie ahead of her. After all, only a year before, her cousin passed through those same doors only to be sorted into Gryffindor, bringing a great deal of shame to his part of the family. Blacks were meant for Slytherin and Slytherin alone, so should she be sorted anywhere else, any hope she ever had of making her parents proud would be lost to her. Thankfully though, without so much as a moment’s hesitation, the hat bellowed Slytherin and she was sorted into the house she was so desperately hoping for.

Life at Hogwarts turned out to be quite different from what she was expecting. While she had spent a great deal of her life living to impress her mother and father, now she found herself with a freedom she never anticipated and a reputation already lain out for her thanks to Bellatrix’s cruel behavior. While she could never even hope to be anything in comparison to the eldest Black, Narcissa has been able to hold her own during the five years she’s been at Hogwarts. Known for having quite the cutting tongue, Narcissa has no problem telling people exactly what she thinks of them and even reducing them to tears when she’s in a particularly foul mood. She maintains her proper pureblood facade, but underneath it all lurks a woman who is eager to make a name for herself and has no problem cutting down those who stand in her way. Intelligent and beyond manipulative, Narcissa is slowly making certain that her life upon graduation is exactly as she envisioned it. While Bellatrix may be more concerned with the Death Eaters and their cause, Narcissa finds it more prudent to make connections that could benefit her once the current unrest is over.

It is no secret that war is brewing. Lines are being drawn and sides formed, but ever the political player, Narcissa has no intentions at all of being anything but a supporter. After all, the battlefield is no place for a lady - at least not one such as herself - and with the union of the Malfoy and Black bloodlines, there will be very little reward that Narcissa cannot reap once this messy war is over with. She just has to make sure she’s able to push through it without any sort of hiccups, otherwise she may find herself standing on that battlefield she’s trying so desperately to avoid.
