I don't have many tips for working digitally other than play around with whatever programs you use before starting a big piece. FireAlpaca is a good free one to start with. Also, always make sure you're on the right layer and flip the canvas if what you're drawing feels off somehow but you can't tell how. It'll help you see what's messed up.
I'm not entirely sure what you mean by "lending out" my art so.... I guess if you could elaborate (preferably on my personal blog, @fox-guardian ) then that would be nice.
