[TS2] Malcolm Landgraab IV: A Portfolio Interview
When we last caught up with real estate heir-turned-tech mogul Malcolm Landgraab in 2024, the self-described innovative entrepreneur was on the verge of launching Landgraab Technologics, shifting a significant portion of his family's fortune from real estate into the world of technology.
Two years later, we sat down with the man, the myth, the legend to see if he had finally managed to shake the label of "spoiled brat."
Now 33, Malcolm began by showing off the latest additions to his luxury car collection before taking us to one of his many sprawling properties, unlikely to be called home, as the mogul rarely stays in one place for long.
Yet, beneath the lavish displays of wealth, there is a different Malcolm. The real Malcolm lives in a modest two-bedroom luxury apartment in downtown Newport.
"Getting to the office is a priority, no matter the time. Being close helps."
It's here that we caught a glimpse of the more reserved side of the mogul.
Launching Landgraab Technologics two years ago was, by his own admission, a leap into the unknown.
"Going out on your own, regardless of scale, is scary. With a name like mine, expectations are high. Failure feels inevitable... and public."
What began as a company founded alongside two close friends has since grown into one of Newport's leading technology firms.
Estimated to be worth nearly §8 million, the company has proven that while nepotism may open doors, it doesn't eliminate the work required to keep them open.
"It's never too early to say, 'I did it.' It's never too early to give yourself credit for trying something new—and not failing immediately. My team made that possible, and I'm grateful."
Kind words from a man long known more for his reputation than his humility.
To be fair, much of that reputation was earned.
Since turning 18, Malcolm has remained one of The Sims most eligible bachelors, linked over the years to names like Lilith Pleasant, Holly Alto, and even Cassandra Goth. Rumors have always followed the Landgraab heir, and we couldn't resist asking if there was anyone special these days.
"I think women are beautiful. I always have."
Not exactly the answer many readers were hoping for.
"Being single has always been fun. My focus now continues to be Landgraab Technologics and the future."
Whether Malcolm is as "single" as he claims remains another one of Newport's worst-kept secrets. (wink)
As Malcolm continues to build his tech empire, one thing remains certain: love them or hate them, the Landgraabs have been a fixture of The Sims for generations. And if Malcolm has his way, the family name won't just remain relevant—it'll define the future.
