Good god, I have been working on this for a while. What originally started out as small storyboard pro practice, ended up becoming an actual project. There was a good amount of time when I wasn’t sure I would finish it, but here it is. I hope you enjoy it!

“The jikininki lures its preys under the form of a normal human corpse decorated with jewels… When the curious passer-by is close enough it reveals itself as the monster it really is. Once the victim is eaten, the jikininki steal anything shiny it was wearing and add it to its collection. Usually they hunt in small groups (4 or 5). Their traps are not easy to uncover, as they use their illusions to recreate clothes and even accident scenes with overturned wagons.” Here is my little personal project of a new monster for The Witcher 3, based on a creature of the Japanese Buddhism, the jikininki (the spirit of a greedy man, cursed to eat human corpses after death) … Maybe there will be others in the future.
