Maggie- "Forget to Remember"
It starts out sweet and domestic, as Maggie gets used to living life with the Alnazars, very upbeat with lots of drums, but the tone starts to sour as things start going wrong. Aisha and Salim are taken, the plague starts running rampant, and Maggie is trying her best to support Asra and Ann by staying positive, but she reaches her breaking point when her mom dies and she ends up catching the plague herself. The end focuses on how she wishes she could go back to simpler times, the times she forgot to remember.
Panya- "Grow Spines"
Her song would be an opening number, and it starts out with her singing a work song while she tends the ground to grow cacti. Itd be more like a monologue set to music, but it still follows a rhythm and has rhyme, and it starts to swell as she realizes how unfair it is that she's working all day while her sisters play in the fountain. She's ranting about how her dad always tells her to "grow a pair" but she'd rather grow spines so nobody would want to push her around.
Kimoni- "Hold my tongue"
This one is set after he's been captured by Lucio and sent to the arena to fight. He wants to speak out about the injustices that he, Muriel, and everybody else here face, but he's told to hold his tongue, keep quiet and they'll treat him well. "But how in god's name can I hold my tongue, when he dares to lash me with his?"
