el sacrificing herself like she's a burden & the possibility of her being alive is supposed to be happy when she's isolated forever after only 5 years of a real life all bc they were too lazy to give her a real ending (happy or tragic), repeating the exact ending of season 1 all over again & not well, nobody even really mourns her except mike
nancy becoming a shell of her former self being painted as independence while she never gets to start healing from the trauma of losing her best friend, never gets to make her own decision with steve, and in the end reduced to her core trait being her career when what set her on that path in the first place was said trauma they never address again
max being reduced to her relationship (just like they've done w lucas the whole series) after seasons of trauma from her older brother, strong bonds with eleven, steve, nancy & other friends that helped her through that trauma, not even a line about her mother being there, & there being no care into how she would realistically heal from being disabled
robin's lesbian self acceptance being used ultimately to push wll's self acceptance arc while being seperated from everyone then insisting she had strong bonds with them in the epilogue instead of taking the time to show it
erica never being let out of her two trope boxes of sassy black girl & smart child, not nurturing the friendships she developed the 2 previous seasons bc they literally didnt care to put more effort than the bare minimum
joyce doing nothing all season when she was a backbone of season 1 & not even getting to mourn another lost child like she did with the child who's a boy
vickie being given so little then getting captured by the military never to be seen again
