So I got sick
Two days ago. Not terrible, but bad enough that I cut church early.
Anyway yesterday our dog was hobbling on three legs because she hurt one of her paws.
I bring this up because today my dad asked "How are you doing bud?" And I started to tell him that "Physically I'm fine but I still have a clogged nose-"
"The-Mimicked," he interrupted, "I was actually talking to the dog."
i think love is stored in late night conversations and "did you drink water today" and "i waited to watch this with you" and splitting a coffee or dessert and "i missed you" and folded laundry and sleepy heads on shoulders and "you're right, i'll do better. im sorry" and inside jokes and... there are so many ways people say i love you silently every single day over and over again if you just listen
Love is not a feeling.
Lust is a feeling. Attraction is a feeling. Desire is a feeling.
Love is a choice.
To love is to do all of these things not just because, but despite.
To love is to do all of these things not just because they're cute, or because they have a nice car, or because they have a nice body.
To love is to do all of this despite their mistakes, despite their brokenness, despite their past.
Love someone. Not just because. But despite.
Robin
Sometimes I dream about the little robin.
While he flies in the air Without a care Making everyone stare.
He is flying over to his nest
That he built in a tree. As pretty as can be. For everyone to see.
I wish I were the little robin.
Because when a robin makes a mistake He is still beautiful.
Let’s talk about emotional testing.
The kind of testing that can damage your relationships. The “pull away just to see if they’ll follow” kind. The “I’m going to say I’m fine and hope you prove I’m not too much” kind.
The “If I disappear, will you notice?” kind.
If you have BPD or struggle with abandonment trauma, this pattern might be painfully familiar.
And look, you’re not a bad person for doing it. You’re someone who was hurt. Someone who learned, probably very young, that directness wasn’t safe. That being honest about your needs got you punished, ignored, or abandoned.
So instead of asking, you test.
You might pick a fight to see if they’ll leave.
You might go quiet and hope they’ll chase you.
You might drop hints instead of clearly communicating your needs.
But here’s the truth:
Testing creates fear where you actually crave closeness. It pushes people away when you’re begging them (silently) to come closer. And it feeds the very thing you’re trying to avoid: rejection. It can also become a self-fulfilling prophecy. You’re scared people will leave and this ends up driving them to leave.
So what can you do instead?
Start small. Practice asking out loud:
“I’m scared you’ll leave. I could use some reassurance.”
“Can you check in with me later today? I get anxious when things go quiet.”
“I don’t want to test you, but I notice I do. I want to work on that.”
That’s trust. That’s vulnerability. That’s what real connection is built on.
It’s terrifying, yes.
But it’s also the first step toward a relationship that doesn’t run on fear but instead it runs on honesty.
You deserve that kind of love.
(And you’re capable of giving it, too.)
This.

Man, there's always freaky people on this site. I guess that's just what Tumblr is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Can you ask yourself questions?
Yes. Yes you can.

Blank
Society
A pot, placed with care over the shiny windowsill.
A soil whose only purpose is to be rich and fruitful.
A picture, filled with water fit for kings.
A dandelion, using none of these things, but growing in the cracks of humanity.
Why did the dog steal that?
Why did my mom get food from the store?
Why did my sister let the dog out our door?
Why did my brother put the food on the floor?
Why did my dad leave the keys in the car?
Dog out the door,
Food from the store,
All on the floor.
So if all of these things are true…
Then why did the dog steal the car?

Imagination
A girl sails over the ocean blue sea.
Crazy Violent Waves are all around her.
Finally, she gets to her destination: a beautiful place called Alphabet Island.
All 26 Letters hung in a row, atop that beautiful arch
A big storm started to appear.
A big bad storm.
Lightning cackles and BAM.
It hit the letter O.
And it fell.
She wasn't able… She… The letter…
She was saying the letter between N and P.
Except she didn’t.
She was unable.
CRACK.
The letter F.
It… plummeted earthward.
“This is bad,” She stated.
She ran up and put the circular letter back up the archway.
“There.” She hopped down the arch. “Now the other lett-”
CRACK
And down goes L .
“Whatever,” she said, “I can just go hang up both… consonants.”
But then S went down.
Young woman ran to curvy Contour. But Young woman tripped! “Ouch!” communicated brain. Woman got up. Woman ran over and grabbed the curvy wave in order to hang it up again. Young woman did.
“So now I just have two more.” She said.
She then put F up there, then followed L, but not before accidentally bumping M and flipping it upside down.
Whatever, it's probably not a big deal.
Soon, she was back on her boat.
“This has been such a strange day. It's a good thing I didn't աess anything up.”
I got it by writing poems. I will be writing more.
This is like a video game. All I'm doing is making the numbers go up. The dopamine rush is insane.
The Lone Brain Cell.
Most people's brains are machines,
Gears clicking,
Springs compressing,
Pistons firing,
Hydraulics pounding.
Robots inside their brains control them.
Pushing buttons,
Pulling levers,
Twisting cranks,
Winding Springs.
Inside my brain, there is one man.
He does all of this hard work.
He is dead.
The creep in the glass
I see a man looking at me through the glass
He stares at me, never speaking, always looking.
His hair is wild and untamed,
always kept in its stable, only its tail shows.
His arm, long and slender; his hand, thin and delicate.
They're always moving when he speaks.
His neck is tall but he is short.
A plump maggot lives there, attempting to squeeze out whenever he speaks, but never escaping.
His face, sharp and unpleasant, speckled with red, stares back at me, wanting to say something.
He never does.
His clothes, plain and simple.
Always the same, never shifting.
He is creepy and uncomfortable.
He never takes anything seriously.
He is unpleasant, and ugly.
He is always strange and weird.
He is me.
As I’m walking downtown, I hear something. “Hey!,”
A girl shouts at me, “I know it's been a long day.
And we haven't talked in forever, so are you feeling okay?
You don’t have to answer; I don’t want to waste your time anyway.”
I wanted to say, "Yeah, I am completely fine.
I'm in love with my life and talk to friends all the time.
But my best friend of 4 years left me in a flash,
Once I told her something personal, like I was some piece of trash.
I said to myself, “Don't worry about it; you will find someone new,
And besides, this is just a feeling; it's not like it could hurt you.
So I did find someone else and she was better than the last.
She was funny, she was cute and I could always make her laugh.
We would call each other constantly and take shots at one another, hence,
Why I loved her so much, she was like me in a sense.
That's not the only reason, there are many more,
That if I told you all of them now, you might begin to snore.
And things were going great until, just like before,
She said, “we should just be friends,” and then she rarely talked to me anymore.
What’s funny is this girl who said we should talk less,
Once asked me how I feel, as if she knew I wasn’t the best.
“Hey! Just checking in to make sure that you’re okay,
And that me ignoring you doesn’t hurt in any way.”
When I look at her, my heart flutters. My nerves try to kill me,
Knowing she is fully content, and that she does not miss me.
When she's around, I can't focus, like I'm on high alert.
Distracted from my life and centered on the hurt.
She had fun but then got bored, so I got cast aside,
So I try to bounce back and talk again, but I get denied.
“Stop talking to me, we're done. My love for you is gone.
You are clingy and obsessed, so I need to break this bond.”
“You disgust me, and I'm uncomfortable talking to you at all.”
Which hurt, of course it did, but at least she didn't stall,
Telling me what she felt. And so I try to stand tall.
I try to forget, all the good things she said about myself,
And all the gifts she gave me. I put them all away on a shelf.
It had such a big impact when she stopped being my friend,
That it wasn't just our relationship that met its unfortunate end.
When I talk to someone, she'll come over and talk to them too.
So I stand there confused, “Now what do I do?
Do I stay here or leave?” I don't have a clue.
Then she'll talk about her hurt, making it well spoken.
That's crazy, because last I checked, it wasn't your heart that got broken.
I sat there, deep in thought, getting lost in the turmoil.
It turns out her night in shining armor was just some poor lover in tin foil.
This poem isn’t meant to win her back or get some fame,
This poem is meant to be a simple canvas for my pain.
1 Peter 5:7 “Cast your anxiety onto him.”
That’s great, but last time I checked, I can’t see the bin,
Where you put all your fear, pain, doubts, attachments, and your sin.
The Lord is always silent when my life is a mess,
But what I forget is that teachers never talk during tests.
I feel like when I get close to someone, God takes them away,
And whispers, “You shouldn’t hang out with him; he doesn’t deserve love anyway,”
Which is ridiculous because that's not something God would go and say.
I tell myself, “I’ve moved on; she doesn’t matter to me.” Liar
Ever since she left, I’ve been reading less and less of my bible
I've been hoping God will kill me because I'm not allowed to be suicidal.
Scenarios play in my head like one big recital.
I pray to God daily, “Please, please just take me home.”
But I can never shake the feeling that I'm destined to live alone.
So she looks me in the eye and says, “Hello, are you still there? You've been staring for a while, is everything okay in there?” I jump back a step, surprised, forgetting that they were even there.
And while I could have - no. Should have told them all of these things that I have told you, I instead, like an idiot, tell them those five stupid, void, meaningless words that we are all way too familiar with.
“I’m fine. How are you?”

Ok, fine. If I can't be popular with text posts, then I'll be popular with photo posts.
Here's Cheese. Yes that's his name. No you are not allowed to judge him.
