Hades and Persephone Au
Nakamura the perpetually tired and overworked god of the underworld was in love. With whom you may ask? Well it's none other than the sweet and adorable god of Spring!
It was during one of the rare times Nakamura was needed to deal with something in the mortal realm when he saw him. Hair glowing with a golden halo under the sun's warm light beautifully framing soft doe brown eyes shining with unadulterated glee as he smiles at his furry little companion, blessing it with soft pats and sweet kisses upon its furry head as a field of flowers surrounds them. Nakamura was left speechless and flustered after gazing upon such beauty and by then he already knew he was far gone.
Nakamura later found out that this was Hirose, the god of Spring and younger brother to the Goddess of Harvest. Quite unfortunate that heâThe ruler of the underworld and god of all things deadâ would fall for his exact opposite. Even if he were to win Hirose's affection he could not keep him. His absence would cause catastrophe. To take him was to take life itself. So in the end Nakamura does not pursue just quietly yearns in his realm dreaming, fantasizing of a reality where they could be.
Hirose the God of spring and flowers was out and about in an open field frolicking with his furry companion, picking flowers when he found a dark and ominous hole leading underground. He crouches down to inspect it. Although having not seen something like it before he knew exactly what it was.
An entrance to the underworld.
How could it not be? With the stench of death and decay accompanied by the cold wrongness emanating from it that could be the only answer.
The god, while curious, was not fond of the dark or the horrors that hide within it. The mere presence of the entrance made Hirose break out in cold sweat and his hair rise. But before he could fully stand and move far away from there he stumbles as he accidentally steps on his robes. Now he would have been fine if his dog, who wanted to play, didn't also tackle him.
Before he knew it he was falling. And falling. And falling...
Oh. He realizes. I fell into the entrance to the... All he could hear was his dog's barking before he passed out.
Nakamura is panicking. The god of Spring, the love of his life, Hirose somehow ended up in his realm. Now how is he going to fix this? He thinks to himself as he gazes at the unconscious God. Hirose was just as beautiful as he first saw him and while he was elated to see his love the circumstances were not ideal. Now how can he explain this to him?
When Hirose wakes up he is greeted by the focused and concerned look of a god. For this being could never be a mere mortal. His aura, intensity and not to mention his face could only be described as divine.
Or where Spring god!Hirose stumbles into the underworld and falls in love with the god of the underworld!Nakamura and despite being scared of his realm at first starts to see the beauty in it and refuses to leave even with the pleading of his sister and the behest of Nakamura himself. He gets the bright idea of eating a pomegranate so he gets to stay forever but is stopped by Nakamura halfway. Without him everything in the mortal realm is dying so Nakamura talks some sense into him and makes a deal to let him stay there for half a year so long as he goes back to the surface for the other half. They end up marrying after the second year.
