So, maybe a funny question, but was the part in 313 where Mark asked Joan "what did you see in that guy?" And then immediately backtracks because he read her mind. Was the implication of that MEANT to be that Agent Green is like. Good in bed. Or was that meant to be something else entirely
lololol nope you got it right the first time. this is absolutely a thing that comes up not infrequently in the pals discord 😂
will you tell me if you see any good cows?
If you were handcuffed to your girl blorbo with magical unbreakable handcuffs for 24h, would you be okay with this?
I trust her, I’ll be fine
I trust her, but it’ll be a stressful 24h
It depends on what kind of day we’re having
This is gonna suck…

i am glad that i watched a ballad of songbirds and snakes. it is a beautiful movie that makes a lot of really incredible points and arguments about the state of society.
i will never watch a ballad of songbirds and snakes again. it makes me physically ill.

i was tagged by @spbvk but i’m cleaning up the reblogs a little so it’s not the Longest Post Of All Time
1. The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. it’s an annual tradition
2. these are NOT in order and they are not the Best, but instead the ones that are most important to me. Turtles All the Way Down by John Green, Finding Serendipity by Angelica Banks, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak, and The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Cathrynne M. Valente
3. no strong preference, but i prefer to feel hopeful about humanity at the end
4. allllll of them. especially because the middle grade to ya to no-spice adult fiction lines are blurry as hell
5. secondhand bookstores OR bookshop.org if i’m pre-ordering from an author that i love
6. i read a Lot for work, but my latest for-pleasure read was A Man Called Ove by Fredrik Backman. 6 so far this month!
7. Fablehaven by Brandon Mull was really formative to me. also the Rainbow Magic fairy books— LOTS of those when i was a nugget
8. The Goose Girl by Shannon Hale. the horse died and i got upset and refused to finish it (i was MAYBE six years old? why were they giving me that book at age six??). i love that series now though!
9. the evenings
10. apocalypse romance. we’re the last two people left in the world and we have to work together or we’ll die and also i love you
11. i read a lot of memoir for work! i quite like nonfiction as long as the person isn’t insufferable. i’ve read a few that were pretentious and nixed a lady who whined about her chronic pain that was fixable via ONE surgery. get over it. your net worth is obscene.
12. YES. Fahrenheit 451 and The Scarlet Letter are notable favorites, but i loved them all
13. yep! i never write reviews though. or check them.
14. i annotate if i’m reading academically but mostly i copy passages into my pocket notebook if they’re very special
15. Song of Myself by Walt Whitman. oddly horny but deeply spiritual at the same time, which was interesting as an asexual religious person.
16. 32 thus far
17. half of my top 5 were children’s books. most books could be children’s books and adults would get a lot out of reading more children’s books. also The Pout Pout Fish. it’s okay to be sad.
18. yes! all of them.
19. i HATED House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski (sp?). needlessly pretentious and deeply sexist.
20. i believe that if you can’t write a compelling character, you’re not a strong writer. i don’t want to be talked down to, but don’t be showing off your new vocabulary word. i really struggle with books where the narration is in dialect.
also some whimsical fun.
@papercutpinetree you might enjoy this? xox
i think my knee braces are damaging the skin on my thighs but i can’t stop wearing them or i won’t be able to walk
trying to not actually explode i am so excited to play music with people

The Van Has Officially Declared It Spooky Season
---
I've got my parent's van for the week and it seems determined to establish my status as The Local Cryptid by terrorizing an innocent 7-11 clerk.
...I might need to back up a bit.
My mother is an eminently sensible woman who knows herself well, and when The Plauge hit, she knew she'd need some sort of mentally and physically engaging craft project to keep herself from going insane and massacring the local zoning and water management boards (even if they have it coming). So she and Dad acquired a utility van and converted it into a camper van because while they love camping, they're past the age where their joints and immune systems will tolerate sleeping on the cold ground in a nylon tent.
They did a terrific job of it and my mom taught herself woodworking and carpentry and now the van has it's own cabinets, fold-away dining table, and removable queen-sized bed with memory foam mattress. My Dad was already a computer engineer, but he learned the dark magics of automotive software and electronics to install after-market backup cameras, a media player that would take a terabyte hard drive and a solar-powered battery and outlet so they could wake up and just turn on the kettle and griddle for breakfast without having to exit the van into a cold morning on an empty stomach.
Truly, the height of Camping Luxury.
My parents are both in their mid-seventies and my primary life goal is to be at least half as cool and hale as they are when I get old.
Anyway, they take it out at least a dozen times a year and it works fabulously, but, being as I am on good terms with my parents and also finishing the process of moving house, I've been borrowing it to move large and cumbersome objects that will not fit in the back of my equally lovely but minuscule Honda hatchback.
It's a Great Van. Very easy and comfortable to drive. Stunningly good MPG for it's size. The best cruise control I've ever had in a car.
It's just also. Quirky. Mischievous, even.
---
If this van has a fault its that it bears the unfortunate affliction that all lightly used white utility vans have in that the combination of an utter lack of branding features and the large dent/scrape I accidentally put on it while trying to escape a Denny's last Thanksgiving means that this vehicle is one addition of a Badly Spray-Painted "FREE CANDY" on the side away from being the sort of vehicle you see in an edgy horror movie.
the aromantic experience of davy jones inexplicably being your fave potc character for years growing up long before you even knew what the term aromantic was
also hector barbossa being your fave. asexual experience right there

i’m so glad that the town i went to high school in is two thousand miles away. i’m never going back. i don’t miss you.
there’s a solid chunk of my wardrobe that makes me look like a generic fantasy twink and honestly that’s what i aspire to
