What went on in ther terror fandom last night? Where’s the bi-erasure and Sophia rejecting Francis thing coming from? I’m so confused
Well basically this is what happened, which, imo, isn't a headcanon but just straight up a fuck you to bisexuality and a woman's legitimate choice of whether or not to marry someone. Think of this what you will but ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ imo this is just not done
i am bisexual and this is literally not even close to being bi erasure also op explained this was a joke. no idea how anyone is this threatened by a headcanon for a character who is by all canon accounts, straight. any non-straight interpretation is a headcanon. there is no bi to erase because the writers didn’t write him as bi in the first place.
attacking new people in the fandom (especially in such personal terms when you don’t know their sexuality or the fact that they wrote that post as a joke) is really not it. thanks

I’ve spent an embarrassing amount of time watching this show and can say with absolute 100% certainty that Francis was not written as bi, and the relationship between him and James was never meant to be anything but friendship.
While we’re at it, James isn’t actually exploring his gender identity/sexuality when he’s playing around with that dress. He holds the dress up against himself, has a look in the mirror, chuckles, takes a swig of wine straight out of the bottle, puts the dress back in the box, discovers he has scurvy and then chooses probably the most masculine costume out of any of the men.
People are welcome to create whatever fanfiction and fanart they like, but that doesn’t make it canon. There’s a section of this fandom that seems to think that their headcanons are facts and that’s really confusing.
