We are The Citrus Network! We are a bodily adult (21+) system of around 55.
and before you go "oh great another system comic blog" just wait, we promise it's worth the stay.
now, while this blogs' purpose is mainly for our art, as well as for comics and posts about our experiences as a system and being plural, we're also open to QnA and general discussion, so please feel free to send in any questions, and we will try to answer them in our free time.
Please be mindful that we're not super great at this whole social media thing due to being subject to intense social isolation during our childhood, so interacting with people online, and in person, is very difficult for us; even making this blog is incredibly outside of our comfort zone! We don't usually post daily, but we will try our best to be as consistent as possible with this blog, and if we're not, then please forgive us. If any big events happen to impact us to the point that we're on more than a month of hiatus, then an update post will be made to address it.

we have a day off finally!! so heres a sorta short comic for today cause we've been extremely exhausted from work.
this comic was made specifically by: R3M3 (It/They/She/He) as a way to process its thoughts.
According to them, being a robot alter has some pros and cons.
pros being not getting tired, being able to multitask effectively, not feeling pain, etc.
their only con is that : despite being in a body that is constantly feeling and expressing, she simply cannot.
to Him, looking into the mirror and seeing flesh instead of metal is already off-putting; but knowing that the body (and other headmates) can feel things that they can't is even more so. and sure, they can try to "emulate" the emotion, but it believes he'll never truly feel it.
do any other nonhuman, and specifically robotic, system members feel this way too? Feel free to maybe share some experiences and tips in the comments so we can try and help them combat these thoughts?

Y'all are so strong for dealing with the bullshit thrown at you so often and i feel nobody recognizes it as much as it should be recognized
many people ask 'how do i know my art is good enough to start a comic'. this is a very common mistake. you do not make a comic to make good art you make comics because its fun and looked yummy

semi-short comic cause we have absolutely no energy to do much else lol 💀 anyways
Yuzu is one of our few fictives who really struggles with source separation.
Some of our fictives have had no problem dropping their source, like Yarrow and R3M3. They know that it wasn't real and that they aren't ACTUALLY a fictional character. They've been able to find themselves outside of who they were made from.
However, Yuzu on the other hand is the opposite.
She loves her source so much that they can't even imagine letting it go; the pseudo memories she has, the friends they once knew and the ones she thankfully still has (sourcemates in sys), and even her personality and appearance is still close to their canon one.
They have tried to source separate before, and we've found she simply can't as of now.
But we've figured out that it's ok that they can't. Source separation isn't for everyone, and everyone heals at their own pace. Whether she does or doesn't separate from their source is completely up to them. All we can do now is support her in her journey. ♡

Sometimes, I wonder about my friends' "imaginary friends" who've taken on a life all their own.
Sometimes, I wonder about the folks who think in conversations, who have named each and every one of their emotions, each speaking with its own distinct voice.

everyone deserves a safe place to be themselves, which includes plurals of all kinds, no matter the origin.
we've known about our system for over 5 years now, and we've only managed to muster the courage to tell 2 people in our life about our plurality. we'd like it to be more, but we don't out of fear. fear of more abuse, fear of rejection, fear of abandonment, etc. Those fears are such common experiences throughout the system community that it's become a known problem, but by working to make the stigma around plurality disappear, we get closer and closer each day to a plural future. ♡
