April 2020. Clipped Scooby and he’s only slightly lighter than before. Obviously clipping him early is the go 🤷🏼‍♀️. And yes he was still kind of sweaty when I took off his rug today. Supposed to be 32 C on Thursday.

I really don’t know 😂😂. I thought he was much darker this time when I clipped him (mid April) but looking at pictures he’s basically the same colour as when I clipped him last year (mid June)

I clip him with a T-84 andis blade which is 2.4mm. Lots of people suggested it when I was browsing online deciding what to get so idk whether that is the typical length people clip with or not 🤷🏼‍♀️. Otherwise he’s just a special chestnut unicorn 🦄 .

That blade is longer than “normal,” so that’s probably why! A 10 blade is usually the standard for a body clip, and it’s 1.8mm. That little extra clearly helps!

Yeah I though it might be longer. I clip him myself so I don’t really mind if I have to clip him more than once.

I wish I’d left Tory longer, she might not be such a weird color and it would have grown out faster, especially as I clipped her so late. She’s just now starting to grow out but she still pretty distinctly has racing stripes 😂 I think I’ll try this blade next winter, see if I can tone down the color difference a little bit. I hate the pale orange color!
