A weird thing about having DID is I cant really remember what my birth father looks like. I know specific features he had, like a prominent widows peak and blue eyes and stubble, but I genuinely cant remember his face. Any time I try to remember, its either blurry and not really there or replaced with a character or person who looks similar but I know isnt him.
I know others in the system do remember him, though. One of the littles, the protectors, the primary caretaker, they all remember what he looks like but I just...dont.
Im not necessarily mad about it because I get why I dont, that he was a bad person and I couldn't really be around him without someone else fronting, but its kinda isolating because most people know what their parents look like, have memories with them, etc. And I just dont.
