WING UPDATE!
I really like how these are looking, we really had to trust the process (even if I had to try 15 different methods to get it how I wanted) The mesh looked too unfinished so I've papermached over the top. This should diffuse the LEDs better!
The wings are still removable for practicality reasons, the wire frame hooks around the cardboard tube to keep it secure and upright.
I've been suffering in the insane heatwave this week but I finally have all the wings finished! Adding the LEDs is going to be a pain but we're nearly done.
The Mindflayer head is finished!
Its not the best constructed but was a great LED test. I also really like the outfit so I might wear it to August comic con
