a feeling of deep pleasure or satisfaction derived from one's own achievements, the achievements of those with whom one is closely associated, or from qualities or possessions that are widely admired.
The demon we associate with pride, is Lucifer, but why do we associate this particular demon, and what is known about him?
According to christian belief, Lucifer was an angel, one of God's most beautiful creations infact, however, he was filled with pride. He wasn't happy with worshipping God, and he wanted to be worshipped instead.
He rebelled against God's plan and proposed an alternative plan that would destroy human agency, which is the independent choice that God gives to people.
He also wanted to make his own government and overthrow God's. He planned to do so by:
Making God's laws invalid
Establishing his own government with his own laws
Replacing God's seal with a man-made Sabbath
His fall was due to his pride, thus him being the personified sin of pride.
Isaiah 14:12: "How you are fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, You who weakened the nations!"
