My Hell Emporium

Kinda lol it wasn't that serious but only because I had someone like him I could call. I had no check engine light, no other shaking or noises, I'd just gotten my battery and oil checked before the road trip.

Apparently, through methods I don't fully understand, gas can gunk up your tank/pipes(???tubes??), and affect the overall health of your engine. What I was experiencing was a lack of acceleration when I was driving onto the freeway. It felt like I was in low gear, and I had to floor it to even go 60. I immediately knew there was an issue so I hit my hazards and put on cruise control so I didn't literally have my gas pedal on the floor. My RPM was at 5 while this was happening.

Once the BIL got to my location, we drove to an auto parts shop and picked up this stuff!!

I think he added about half to my 1/2 full tank, then he instructed me to add the rest after I filled up my tank in 200 miles.

WHEN IM SAYING MY 2016 NISSAN IS RUNNING BETTER THAN EVER IM NOT EVEN JOKING!!!!! I don't drive many places very often, so I hardly ever fill it up, it only gets used for about 2 hours a week for grocery trips. And previously the car had belonged to a family member who lost his ability to drive so it was sitting in a drive way for a while before I bought it in 2022.

The only reason why I only spent $15 dollars on this instead of getting a tow, getting a mechanic to diagnose my car, and potentially having a rental car for a few days is because I was close enough for my brother in law to get to me, and he knew what to do.

Had I been 200 miles down the road or had no one to call or had no service, this would've been a way worse ending.

I'm taking today and learning from it, I cannot let my lack of education on car maintenance put me in danger. Yes I know some basic stuff like a tire change, oil change, replacing a battery, jumping a car, and even changing spark plugs. But after today, I'm gonna be picking up some overall car maintenance literature and treating my car right. #Justice4NessyTheNissan
