like sure, whatever. shatterpoint is cool. i like that it's pretty unique to Mace. i like that he's aggressive and powerful when he fights.

i dont like that fans and even canon tries to say he has ties or connections to the dark side.

he doesn't have purple because he's halfway between jedi and sith, he has purple because purple is fucking awesome

okay, since some people clarified in the notes, ive sorta adjusted my take on this

"the use of vaapad - a variant of form VII which allows the user to tap into their inner darkness and anger and use the opponents own dark side against them - shows that Mace Windu has complete mastery of the entire force, and is able to control and resist when he does tap into the dark side. the names light side and dark side aren't as clear cut as good and evil, and there is quite a bit of overlap. if anything, Mace is closer to the Bendu than any sith. and his strength and skill as a Jedi Master shows true dedication to the light side of the force." <- this is cool and adds some awesome lore. taken on its own it should be proof that Mace is an exceptional Jedi Master, not someone close to falling to the dark side

Sometimes you step out of the box, and you're free of the box, and you're out of the box, and you realize you are fairly box shaped. So you sit down, and you do a lot of introspection about whether or not you were always box shaped, or if you grew into the shape of the box after being forced into the box for so long, and whether or not there are stunted parts of you, that might grow, now that you're out of the box, or if you should just maybe wear the box around as a fashion accessory that conveniently makes life so much easier while living among those who expect you to be in the box, and in the middle of your naval gazing someone always shows up to try and put you back in the box.

And you realize that regardless of whether or not you actually fit in the box, it's dark in there.
