Books: A Darker Shade of Magic Series (utterly fantastic), The Last Wish & The Sword of Destiny (Witcher short stories which are good though read at your own discretion, not for everyone)

Wolf Hall (BBC),

Games: Okay, there is only one true option here and if you want to basically see some shadows of your old buddies from Norta, play or watch a playthrough of Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

Bloodline powers? Check.

Politics? A ton. An underground looking to break the social order? two of those.

A Prince who thinks stabbing things will ease his mental trauma? HAHAH YEP.

HI! This is probably so so so out of date, but since I can’t check the time stamp for when these come in, I’ll just assume it was probably last year, and I am genuinely so sorry for the absence. Short answer: I got really behind on the books and far too caught up in life to maintain the blog (college, work, ect). On top of that I sort of got locked out of here for a long while too (my own ignorance baffles even me sometimes).

This series has been a joy for me in more than one sense, and I’m ever grateful for tracking it down and reading it. (seriously there is a hilarious story behind me getting the first book involving treck through the freezing winter rain of NYC )

I absolutely adore the idea of making more content on here again. Book series have the lovely thing about being there for anyone to discover at any time, and so long as there are people picking up, I can’t see why the community can’t still be there putting out more things for others to enjoy.

I’m so sorry this is late! I have to stock my queue with some new text posts soon… but as for some War Storm theories…

I have a pretty good feeling we’re going to get a couple major character deaths. As easy of a prediction that is to make, it’s the question of who’s head’s gonna get chopped that plagues me.

1. I think that both of the Calore boys are going to bite it. With the undercurrent of democratic themes and the already obvious YA trope of the kingdom not surviving the series- it makes sense for the Calore line to be extinguished and make way for a new political system to be put in place.

2. One of the Samos siblings is going to go, with Evangeline being a pov character back in King’s Cage I can see it. One way to make her suffer horribly is to have both Elane and Ptolemus both being killed. With Ptole having killed Shade- there’s no way he’s making it out of the series alive.

3. I have no idea what’s going to happen- I’m along for the ride and to cover up my heartbreak with hilarious content.

In a world where superpowers, or Quirks, are possessed by the majority of the world's population, a group of talent emerges with the aim to become great heroes...possibly.

Mare Barrow, Presumed Quirkless for the majority of her life- It isn't until she is thrown into a life threatening fight with a Villain that she discovers her frightening ability, killing the Villain in the process, much to her dismay. She's lauded as a hero by the public rather than indicted with manslaughter, and through these circumstances- is given the chance to study at a Hero Academy in it's final year. Cal Calore, Having taken up the alias "Ignis" along with a spot as second-in-command at the Calore hero agency, Cal finds himself investigating a string of seemingly random Hero killings. He believes that they're somehow connected to the illusive vigilante group known as The Scarlet Guard. Maven Calore, Becoming a hero holds little meaning to him, as it is only seen as expected for him to graduate and join his father's agency alongside his brother. Stuck between resigning himself to the role of a sidekick and rebelling against it, he is all but decided once Mare is transferred into his class. Shade Barrow, A S.C Vigilante known by the locals as "Warp", Shade along with the guard are preparing for the threat looming on the horizon, the one the heroes are either blind to- or willfully ignore- the sweeping cult of corruption turning agencies into gangs- and heroes into villains. However their actions have caught the attention of a Pro Hero, and they'll either have to reveal themselves or root out the possibility of being found.

I just finished the King's Cage, and along with my newly gained trauma over my children's impossible happy ending (coUGH) I need more Tyton content. How do you deal with a book that just undid years of therapy?

Generally I sink myself into what I do best when faced with suffering- Writing. But it never usually goes anywhere in particular. For you I suggest a pint of ice cream and some fan art, my friend.

I was just thinking, is Cal and Mare gad a baby, what color would its blood be??

Hard to say. I think it would be a bit difficult for Cal and Mare to have children in the first place (leaving out the question of wether or not Mare would even want to be a mother at all.)

If you think of Newbloods as the bridge between Silvers and Reds, then it isn’t a stretch to assume that a Calmare kid could have either color of blood. Perhaps it lies more in which power the child inherited, if any at all. Silvers generally inherit their abilities from their fathers, with only a small percentage of them taking after their mothers. So assuming that the baby is a Burner, you could make the argument that they would have silver blood. However, I’m also inclined to believe that the baby would be red because of their mother bearing red blood.

That’s sort of a short little thingy- but in all honesty, I don’t want to say anything I can’t rightfully back up. So I might do a meta piece on this later this month. Thank you for the question, love!
