Confrontation with the Orc

We have a new supporting orc cast member, it seems. What his ultimate goal will be has yet to be determined, but he seems to be an important player with certain things. The one thing I caught in this clip was how Mr. Orcie's attention was only on Gal. Heck, his gaze was transfixed and he was rather...beguiling with her (not sure if that's the right word); you know, like when a villain is trying to persuade the hero to give in to what they're offering. Question is, why her? Is it because she's the leader? Or, is it because he knows about the special nature between her and Sauron, and there is something he can do for her (it's up to you to decide which 'he' I'm referring to 😀)?

A Tale of Two Reunions

We have to talk about Celly, the reunion(s), and, unfortunately, that kiss. Ok, so, we see two moments where it appears he and Gal are seeing one another for the first time; one, in a dungeon, and the other in a lush, green forest. This is all very suspect. I first have to question the reasoning for doing such a thing. Why would they show both? Kind of gives things away, doesn't it? Anyway...I think we know one is a fakeout. Which one? It's the woods, and I'll tell you why: it's way too romantic of a setting. Like, let's think about this rationally. Are we really expecting Gal and Celly to suddenly randomly happen upon each other in a quiet forest during a war, and then passionately kiss (and this is where it takes place; the background matches)? Yeah, it's too perfect.

HandGate 2.0

Time fore the most important (and juiciest) scene to cover: HandGate 2.0. All right, so let's review: we have Galadriel laying down, seemingly upset, at which point a hand strokes her hair, down her cheek, with his knuckles. She then releases her emotions. We all want to believe it's Sauron, and not Celly. So, let's make a case for Sauron. First, let's examine the details of the scene. The most notable is, of course, Gal's expression. She looks on edge; petrified, even. When the perp's finger's finally touches her, Gal appears to let out a sob. Turning to the hand, I would like to point out how much of her it's touching. Not only is this person touching her cheek, but he starts by running the back of his hand over her hair. Now, who can we think of that is obsessed with Galadriel's hair? Also, I just caught this, there is a bit of a hesitation as his fingers reach her skin. It's almost as if whoever is this is, he's doing it for the first time; there's a type of sacredness to his actions. One more thing: the person's wrist is ALMOST seen. As it moves more into view, there's darkness surrounding it. Some of it is likely shadow, but it appears to me there is also some solidness to it, like a black sleeve, perhaps. Who is wearing black this season? 😏

Ok, I have to play devil's advocate for a minute. You know, try some objectivity. Maybe Galadriel is upset over a particularly rough battle. Like, the whole not-yet-Nazgul assault on the elves, and someone is trying to comfort her. It does seem her last expression where she closes her eyes is one of relief. Plus, the headboard, or whatever furniture she's on, is rather intricate, as are the pillows. And something needs to be said about the openness at her neck, i.e, she's not in armor.

However, it is very unlikely this is a break from all the chaos of war. Galadriel is in a state of ruin with all that dirt on her, and her posture leads me to believe that her arms are at her side. I would think that if you were able to get some reprieve, you'd want to wash up and have your hands up by your face while in the fetal position. Her attire is maybe some sort of fancy prison clothes given to her by a Maia unhealthily in love. Her eyes closing is probably an attempt of trying to pretend this isn't real. As for the furnishings, why says the ruler of Middle Earth doesn't like nice things around his evil lair?

Overall, I think I have made a solid case in defense of Sauron. He is the only one who makes sense. There is no scenario that Celly would be able to do this with his wife. Not in captivity, which might be a while. I highly doubt there would be such nice accommodations in the dungeon him and Gal are in.
