Blog indefinitely on hiatus
Hello everyone,
Although I have not had this blog very active for nearly a year, I thought I should at least address that this blog will never be updated again.
One mod has essentially left this blog to me (not for any bad reason or anything. Moreso just because of not having a lot of time). For me personally, I am leaving tumblr indefinitely (again for no bad reason other than life is difficult at the moment)
The blog will remain up as an archive for those of you who still use it, but it will never be updated after this post.
I want to thank the people who helped use by either submitting/addressing legitimate transphobes, and those who reblogged our posts because they were aware that these people are dangerous to their trans friends and followers. And I want to thank the legitimate followers we had. We had a lot of terfs and transphobes following this blog either to harass us or to follow other terfs/transphobes
To be honest, running this blog has made me have doubts about how much of a community the LGBTQ community really is. Iâve been called a rapist, tranny, misogynist, delusional woman, delusional man (from people who automatically assumed I was a trans woman, because god forbid a trans man is dissatisfied by the views of radfems), sexist, and cultist - by many radfems (both cis women and cis men) who the marjority identified as part of the LGBQ community.
Iâve had people threaten to doxx me, Iâve had people tell me to kill myself. Iâve been told I merely want to butcher my body. Iâve seen radfems the use of the slur tranny because âtrans people calls us bitches/etc!â - totally ignoring the violent and oppressive history of the word tranny
Iâve seen people totally forget about th existence of Miss Major. Iâve seen people say that prominent trans figures werenât transgender, but merely âgay transvestitesâ - another word that has a very violent history. Iâve seen people say trangender people can just âstop being transâ. Iâve seen people say that transgender people have totally poisoned the LGBTQ community. Iâve seen people totally try to rewrite history about Stonewall - trying to erase our history altogether.
To be honest, I donât think there is really a LGBTQ community. I think we all have different needs, and not all of them are being met. I think perhaps we can work together to help one another, but the community is tearing itself apart due to homophobes/lesbophobes/biphobes/transphobes within the community
I think we, as trans people, make the easiest target. I have not heard of any movements to remove members of the LGBTQ (out of hate) other than Drop the T
The internet intitially was my way to communicate with the LGBTQ community, since I was stuck in a very close minded city
Now, the internet has become a way for us to attack one another (not implying these issues never existed before the internet - just that these issues have become worse due to the internet).
Anyway, sorry for the dribble. Thank you all again.
Cheers,
