I started my internship last Monday. I start every day at 8 am and end at 6 pm in the afternoon. I also had a class (Socio-anthropology) every 1:30 pm-3:30 pm which is very inconvenient because I had to log-out at 1 pm and log in again at 4 pm.

This is me and my friend having our break at a mall nearby.

At the pharmacy where I am an intern, their medicines are arranged by the company which hard for me to remember where a branded medicine is located because we had to memorize first what is the company of the medicine.

In my first week, already two patients wanted to buy antibiotics without a prescription and they were a little upset to us and left without letting us explain why. I was a little disappointed because I really love to talk about antibiotics and it’s bad effects to us if we don’t take it correctly.

But anyways, yesterday I just received our name plate!

And right now I am making my notes/reviewer for the medicines and it’s brand name, generic name, therapeutic use, doses, etc. so that I could easily memorize them.

What do you do when you want an information from the internet and you want to have a softcopy of it? Take for an example “Pharmacy” from a site Wikipedia

Now, it’s so time consuming or hard to copy this and paste it to Word. An easy way to save this, saving effort and time is just to directly save it into a PDF File.

Step 1. Click the settings on upper right corner and click print.

Step 2. Choose the destination as “Save as PDF” and then click save.

Step 3. Just choose the destination you want.

And then viola! It is saved. you can also do this on your phone or on you tablet, just make sure you are using Google Chrome! :D

Ever since I was a child, it has always been my dream to be a doctor someday, to be specific I wanted to be a pediatrician since I am very fond of little children.

Yesterday, my classmate told us that while she was watching a korean drama “Goblin”, she had some thoughts when a scene came that a doctor died and asked the Grim Reaper that why did he wasted his childhood on studying and why he did not enjoyed his life.

My classmate then also asked it to herself, maybe she has some thoughts about proceeding to medicine. I didn’t know what was she thinking after that because we had an activity in our next class and I didn’t get to ask her after that.

But I thought, maybe she was thinking about the funs a teeneger and a young adult must have ad if one didn’t took up medicine.

Me, with the dreams of becoming a doctor someday, answered it frustratingly inside my head the whole time and decided to tell it here in tumblr.

Everytime I think about the fun i’m sometimes missing because of studying and school, i just think about the funs that other didn’t even have because of there were no one to help them when they were suffering because of their disease or something. 

I thought about the ten to twelve years of missing out the fun in exchange of the help to extend many years and lives of other people. It may even sum up to 100 years or more of others for the lifetime of being a doctor someday!

And maybe sometimes I’ll think of giving up because of just the funs, i’ll make sure to remember that my hardwork for 10-12 years can be the extension of the happiness of the lives of those I can help.

Hello guys! I just found this. Yes. Like just a minute ago, and it’s nearly our second semester and I don’t really have the mood to edit it in word so I just did it online. I just searched Schedule Maker Online and this was the first to show up soooo! I’m pretty satisfied with this so I think I need to share this to you!

So this is the Free Class Schedule Maker Online! Just what it says, you can print, save and export your schedule!

Once you open the site, this will be what you can see.

You just need to give the name of your schedule at the top. Ex. Second Year Second Semester (that’s is what I named mine)

Then, just click the Add Course button at the side and this will pop up.

And just fill in the spaces. In case you had a mistake in your courses you can still edit it, or delete it.

Here’s what I have:

It is still temporary though. I still dont have the schedule of some of my courses so I have some of it blank.

I love this site because it gives me what I want to it’s appearance (output) to be and also it is user-friendly. It also allows you to have the course titles to what you want it to be (abbreviations or not) unlike other sites/apps. You can also change the course’s color. And most of all, if you have different times in different days you can still edit it that way because you can add another meeting time by clicking the button on the bottom.

Hi guys! This time, I want to share with you how I organize my files in my computer since I’m a little bit obsessed with organization lately.

So here’s my desktop.

And in any case you’re wondering, I made my background from this app called weavesilk, it can be downloaded into your phone too.

In my desktop you can find some of the apps that i am frequently using. I’m a bit addicted to editing videos too recently, so I have apps like Wondershare and of course Windows movie maker.

So next is, Local Disk (D:)

I save all my files in Local Disk D because one of my brother’s classmate advised me to save it in there, so that in case there are some problems in the local disk C, they can still retrieve my files.

I labeled each folder with a number before them in order of importance.

Zero - for the files i have for school

One - for the softcopies of the things I post online

Two - for my friends’ and classmates’ files.

Three - for the other personal files i have

No number - not that important

So first, let’s go to 0 School

Inside this folder, I have my three major subjects for the first semester (Anaphysiology, Chemistry and Pharmacy), GE subjects (or General Education subjects, like english, social science, etc), files I needed from my highschool, and the PDF books I have.

Inside the folders of my three major subjects, there are more subfolders, labeled 2-1 Laboratory and 2-1 Lecture. 2 means Second Year and 1 means First Semester.

And then going back to the Local Disk (D:), everything was just grouped and put into subfolders for me to locate it easily like I did with my 0 School folder.

But lastly, I want to share with you my 3 Movie, Drama folder, and this is what it looks like

These are some study tips that I discovered that worked for me:

First, Not looking at the time - when i start studying, usually at 8:30 pm after eating dinner and taking a rest, I go down to my dorm’s library bringing everything I need, take note everything, with me except for my phone and wristwatch. It’s because I have this habit of mine of constantly checking the time, and knowing what time it is, my mind reminds me that at this time I should be sleeping, this time I should be already in my bed etc. shut up brain and just study. But seriously guys, just do not look at the time. I did this, and next thing I knew I was in bed at 2 oclock in the morning, which is very unlikely.

Warning: this tip though effective for me, for the next couple of days after eating dinner I just went directly into bed and woke up the day after. I suggest you do this slowly, like add one hour every two days to your usual sleeping time.

Second, Take a nap after drinking a cup of coffee - I know this is not new to most of you guys but for me it is. I tried drinking coffee when I was in my first year and I just felt sleepy right after, I thought it was because coffee didn’t work for me, not until I discovered studyblr, that’s when I learned I was having coffee wrong.

Third, Rewriting notes by hand - studying in my book or in the slides my teacher gave us gives me low scores than studying in the notes that i have rewritten and summarized. Maybe because rewriting helps me to remember my notes better. Well, it depends on the person, but I recommend you try it.

Fourth, Covering my notes and reciting everything that I can remember - after rewriting my notes and reading it aloud for myself, I cover my notes with my hand or another piece of paper and I try to remember everything, and if I miss something, I say it again aloud for a lot of times and start again from the beginning until I get everything right.

Fifth, Have a study partner - I recommend that this study partner should be your classmate, because it’s easier to ask each other questions if you have the same teacher and subjects and most of the time both of you are together so you can remind each other the quizzes or long exams the other one forgot.

The last and most important of all, Have a healthy meal and a good night’s rest - keeping yourself healthy is the most important of all because being sick in college is going to cause you many absences and teachers don’t like that and also you’ll miss quizzes and you have to self study for the lessons you missed. I also recommend to atleast have six hours of sleep, after having a stressful day at school, sleep is a must have to face another day of learning!
