Mary Machinegun realized too late that:

a) it's a bad idea to fight a sword-wielding opponent in melee range with a gun

2) a shotgun musket wasn't a machinegun and she had no idea how to use the thing 

iii) it's very hard to think tactically when you have an atomic wedgie and you're hella gay for your opponent's fantastic gravity-defying breasts

a.k.a. TFW you're so distracted by your opponent's breasts that you forget guns are ranged weapons

Although it does look like her boob was sliced off and then reattached to her chest. Maybe it was.

Boob mummy with individually wrapped surprisingly firm breasts and also nipples... and also like superhero boots.

Questions abound.

Shi's lower half looks like she's made of wax and melting.

All that just to create the illusion she has a big butt when they don't want to draw her with one.

Mary looks like she's both folding up and also sliding off. I guess it's good her girlfriend has wings to hold her together.

Also, I feel like I'm interrupting something with how Mary's moving her leg to show her battle panties. >_>

So Shi has a daughter, Hotaru, now and I figure their dialogue is going something like this:

Hotaru: "I'm not a 90s kid like you, mom, I'm not going to wear a ridiculous crop top sofa cushion outfit to fight crime or ninjas or whatever it is we do."

Shi: "Fine, but you still have to do the awkward ballet pose."

Hotaru: "UGH FINE, but I'm not going to do... whatever the f- you're doing with your stomach. God, you're so embarrassing."

Shi: "Says the girl who keeps saying sixty nine."

Hotaru: "It's SIX SEVEN. Sixty nine is like what you did in your 90s crossovers with auntie Vampirella and auntie Avengelyne or whatever. I don't really want to think about it."

Shi: "Hey! That's just how team ups worked back then!"

Hotaru: "OK boomer. I didn't read your comics."

Shi: "That's okay. My comics weren't for reading anyway."

Hotaru: "... and this is why we don't hang out more, mom."

The dangers with weather powers is you can summon too much wind and twist your body into painful shapes I guess.

"I can't quite decide what this opening paragraph from the review of Athena is trying to say. Is it that games fail because of female characters? Or, more charitably, that there are so few games with female characters that they never top the charts? I'd like to think the latter, but the (admittedly classic) Athena poster later on by Bob Wakelin points to the misogyny present in the games at that time. It was a great time to be a teenage boy... but probably not a great time for everyone else."

Battle bikini aside, Athena looks so awkward trying to fight that monster. At least she doesn't skip leg day.

As for the article, on top of the weird, possibly sexist, implications of the opening, and the part about how her sprite isn't as sexy as the original arcade one, what's with the misspellings and punctuation mistakes? Did they not have an editor? D:

Everything about this is both hilarious and awkward. One might say it's an A(wkward) I(mage) >_>

Anyway, it is pretty funny that she's resting her breasts on the icon frame, like "finally, a break from the back pain."

It sucks when you're surrounded by werewolves but also your feet are glued to the ground and you're forced to fight in a boobs and butt pose.

Also that boobs and buttocks hugging leather looks uncomfortable.
