it is impossible to watch a movie. every night i think i want to watch a movie. no movie gets watched. because it's not possible
and yet they keep making movies with the hopes that one day humanity will discover a way to watch them. it's so inspiring
People who haven't seen Madoka Magica might not know this, but both the characters Mami and Homura are magical girls who use guns as weapons. But while Mami's gun are magical, Homura's are literally just normal guns she stole from the government.

listen i am here fully admitting that that one, THAT ONE really short moment where zuko activates his fire jets underneath his feet, are like two second that i keep watching on repeat over and over if i stubble upon on youtube edit, for.... well uh... REASON! and yeha adult gaang is hot and snatched, and buff, and attractive, and its all in their cheekbones. (may or may not more doodles in the future).
but my brain is the whole time "gosh none of them drink enough water"

I kinda like the concept of there being a small window in the timeline between Bruce returning to Gotham after his travels and training and before The Batman is a full solidified persona, where he still is going out and fighting crime dressed to blend into the shadows like he learned in the league. And how this effects the perception of Batman as a creature from the perspective of the people of Gotham. From their perspective it’s something like: One day, no one is sure when, a figure indistinct and cloaked in darkness forms in and from the shadows of the city, vengeance the begins to take form as something part man, part shade, and part bat. The features take shape over time, the sharp ears, the growl of his voice, the flutter of his cape that eventually becomes silent wings, the glow his eyes begin to take. Eventually the city knows him, and fears him, and gives him a name. At some point this vengeance personified morphs into a vessel for justice.
And some years later, the citizens of Gotham hear a tinny laughter and a flash of yellow in the shadows.
Something about the soft implication in The Batman that the incident where his father saves Carmine Falcone was in a way more formative to him and his philosophy than witnessing his parents murders. Obviously him becoming Batman is directly linked to their murders, but how he enacts justice as Batman is tied to this memory. There is subtext that Bruce’s morality and his continuation of his family’s legacy is very tied to the idea of both following a certain set of rules (ie “he took the Hippocratic oath” vs The Law) but breaking others in a way he views internally as just or righteous (operating to save the life of a drug kingpin vs vigilante activities) and that manifests in how we see him act in this very early iteration on Batman.
I think the surplus of somewhat woobified and very angsty “everyone hates me” Tim Drake fics stems from the fact that canonically Tim went to the Dick Grayson school of blaming himself for everything bad that has happened ever.

I actually watched the UTRH movie before the comic and I think I must have been right off of a rewatch of BTAS and TNBA bc my initial thought for first suspect for who Red Hood was was Harvey Dent having developed another alter like The Judge. Obviously I ruled it out pretty quickly but I still think that would be an interesting concept to play with.
