I’m currently unemployed and have been since 2024 because I’m too disabled to do most physical jobs, don’t have a degree because I was able to get into tech from experience alone, and I refuse to work in tech anymore. My last job was for a company providing cybersecurity support to the census. I was homeless for a few months in early to mid 2025 because any job I tried to get even as a gig, I got harassed out of by the people who doxxed me. I can’t do SW online anymore either for a similar reason.

I worked in tech focusing on cybersecurity and at one point was also writing on white supremacist terrorism bc lol I lived in fucking Montana and lived through shit like the KKK threatening to burn my parents house down bc there’s fuckall in montana but white supremacists. Yes, I did end up being a whistleblower. I didn’t end up in the news by name for it because I used a pseudonym for it at the time. I then spent years after that trying to push forward change and was mostly successful until this admin undid everything in like a week and I watched all my effort evaporate. Also, writing reports on cybersecurity shit also counts as “intelligence analysis” in tech because they love slapping the word “intelligence” on things like “open source intelligence” which is basically glorified cybersecurity journalism. My resume is structured and phrased the way it is because I was a fucking disabled Black tranny trying to get tech recruiters to look past that and hire me lmfao

Also, I’m former military bc I started enlisting at 16 and enlisted fully at 17, bc as a poor Black homeschooled kid from a military family in Montana, I didn’t see any other way to stop being a burden on my family. I got out in 2019, and deeply hate the fucking military and regard having been part of it as a mistake.

I only moved to DC and started working in tech out here bc the ex that enslaved me forced me to when she learned that I could earn a lot more than I did in Montana due to my military experience, and she was beating/raping/otherwise abusing me so I didn’t exactly have a choice. I may love DC, but frankly I would not have left Montana for that on my own. After I escaped her in 2019 and started having my own actual life and being able to make my own choices, I ended up staying in that field regardless because I figured since she had forced me to be there, I might be able to do something good with the positioning I had. See: ending up whistleblowing.

No I was not “scamming people for mutual aid while making 6 digits”, or “enslaving white people”. In 2021, after losing my job in retaliation for the initial whistleblowing, my roommates at the time forced me to move out and gave me a timeline of January to be out. After several months of not being able to find a position, and with the deadline coming up with the risk of homelessness, I took the only job that had been willing to hire me at the time—an overnight job with a tech company compiling cybersecurity news as a “morning paper” that was given as a product to the FBI. I figured I could take it for a month or two at most until I got another job, but ended up stuck there until mid 2022 bc to the best of my knowledge, I had been blackballed and nobody would hire me. In mid 2022, I lost the job and ended up unemployed.

I was unemployed from mid-late 2022 to mid 2023, while I had been housing, feeding, and otherwise taking care of at the time 4 other disabled trans folks who had been homeless or were fleeing red states. I asked for mutual aid WHILE UNEMPLOYED when I had no savings left because I was spending it on keeping other people alive and partners/close friends could no longer help, but I still needed to feed 5 people including myself and pay winter utility bills.

During periods I was employed and making “tech money”, I was spending the majority of it on not only taking care of, by the end, 5 other disabled trans people consistently in addition to an assortment of other trans folks periodically that I didn’t have a full bed for, but also feeding it into mutual aid for other trans people, predominantly other disabled trans people of color whose campaigns were regularly ignored no matter how much I shared them. Part of the reason I became homeless in 2025 was because I did this instead of building up savings, so when I lost my job I didn’t have a cushion to last until I could find one more job. I don’t regret helping everyone I did, but I do wish I hadn’t been homeless lmfao 🙃

I can’t do mutual aid for myself anymore or get jobs with any kind of visibility because people instantly start harassing me and people that help me. One of the main sources that Dai quotes is the Black trans woman who talked me into killing myself while I was being doxxed and harassed on Bluesky, because I was the only person other than her best friend that knew she had been HAL’d too, and if I was dead nobody could use it against her like it was being used publicly against me. I ended up hospitalized for several days bc my roommate stopped me from killing myself.

this behavior is nothing new. the global south and everything in it - the people, the culture, our heritage - is seen as nothing more than a decoration or commodity to colonizers. i don't even need to bring up the koh i noor or the entire british museum; these examples are recent and egregious enough on their own.

ah yes, the false binary of everyone who is a trans woman, and everyone else who is not a trans woman.

just like the evil oppressive binary of gingers vs non gingers. or left handed people vs everyone else. or people from Baltimore vs people who aren't from Baltimore. or Ryan Gosling vs every single other human being on the planet.

you people lost the plot on why the gender binary is bad. you think that its oppressive because there's just two categories. not that its oppressive because its a symptom of the patriarchy to abuse women, promote misogyny, and punish nonconformaty.

you hate the number two, instead of hating oppositional sexism. you have no understanding of basic gender theory, and are identical to the common transmisogynist.

1. The Midwest has the most caring racists. The amount of sleeping bags and hot chocolate was surprising and heartwarming, the amount of racism was alarming.

4. Most teenaged panhandlers look older than they are (dirty, stressed). Remember they're kids. Most aren't drug addicts. Most are abused for one thing or another. Most of the time it's for being queer.

6. Dont sleep anywhere where you won't hear people coming and wake up. Trash, sticks, whatever makes noise when people rustle through it. Car camping is so much better.

7. Cops aren't people, they're some strange demon sent to fool you with riddles and drag you away. Treat them like the Fae

8. No one gives handouts in the Northeast

9. No one calls 911 if a homeless person is ODing in California

Whether I would like to be around anyone who has harmed me is for me and that person to figure out. Whether anyone wants to be kept away from someone who has harmed them is up to them. Trying to exclude people who have caused harm to others from communities and events broadly on the basis of other people feeling uncomfortable without any recourse or pathway to become included is punitive, disproportionate and antithetical to the goal of building strong communities.
