A few months old assortment of MS Related sketches.
Metal slug has got to be the game that has lived and still lives rent free inside my head for the longest time.
I love Metal Slug so goddamn much, despite how SNK has been treating the series.
Metal slug along with Akio's, Hiya!'s and Max-D's work keeps me motivated despite all the hardships.
Man...
Do I love breaking games with french.
That moment when I come back from an exam and Akio and Hiya! are working on the same game, I'm gonna cry my eyes out.

You know what ? Screw the TF2 community.
*Treasure co ltd's your Scout*
(It's my first time doing some pixel art with limitation, or just pixel art in general, feedback is always appreciated. I like imitating spriting styles, I might do more in the future...)
French ver of Spy is spanish instead of french, I can but will not back that statement with a source.
I finally solved the issue with the lighting not working (had to do with the texture used not reflecting light) and the spawn being moved into the ground for some odd reasons...
I don't know what I did but I screwed up big time when trying to implement lighting into the map.
:(
I'm learning how to use hammer for level design, I think it's a good training exercise since I mostly have a theoretical knowledge regarding map making.

Well ! Now that I know how 3D animation works on a basic level, I will start working on learning how 3D models and textures as well as rigs are made. I'm ecstatic to get to it !
Just finished Beyond Good and Evil for the billionth time, I'm still flabbergasted about the fact that a lot of the voice actors from this game also went on to voice some of the mercenaries of TF2.
For some I could actually recognize their voice, Medic was an obvious one for me, despite Martial Le Minoux sounding so different from what I was used to with BGE and Rayman 3, it just goes to show how talented he is.
While for Heavy I didn't connected the dots immediately, somehow General Kehck and Heavy sounds similar but also not at the same time, maybe because most of the dialogues or moments where you hear the general, the audio is edited to create echo and static noises, but I would say the overall intonation also makes the differences, you can hear General Kehck's intonation in Heavy's voicelines... The other way works too... (Heavy and Kehck are voiced by Thierry Mercier)
AND THEN THERE'S SPY THAT SOUNDS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING LIKE THE ACTUAL CHARACTER HE BORROWS HIS VOICE FROM BECAUSE IT'S WAY TOO EDITED (unless you count in the K-Bups Dispenser voice lines but even then they're also pretty edited and the intonation again, is way different than what you'd hear with Spy's voice lines. Spy and the High Priest Domz are voiced by Serge Thiriet. also I don't know why but hearing something as mundain as an ad begin voiced by the voice actor for Spy is horribly funny to me)
I should design some TF2 cosmetics based on the respective characters they share a voice with (A reason to make a BGE and TF2 crossover, can you blame me though, BGE is part of my childhood.)
I love some of the cosmetics spy has, I think it's a shame there's no hat with wide brims and the possibility to keep sunglasses under it.
(I'm not a big earner user outside of MvM, but still, I really like the design of the weapon, much like I do with the stock revolver, which explains why I spend a lot of time playing gun spy, with the french dub of the game to make things funnier.)
He truly is one of most classes ever. (I'm rusty at line-art)

As a certified, I can most definitely say that to this day, I still don't understand why Spy refers to Scout's mom as "Mon petit chou-fleur".
Like- If it was "chouquette" I would understand, because of the implications behind the word, which are literally "sweet and can't get enough of". (It's a french pastry, pretty decent if you ask me.)
wHAT'S SO ROMANTIC ABOUT BEING CALLED A CAULIFLOWER AM-I MISSING SOMETHING ?????? VALVE WAYTFM ????
the french are Really weird (no hate to my french followers)
Yeah. As a French speaker (not by choice, I'm Canadian and attended a Francophone school from Kindergarten to grade 12) I can confirm that "chou" (cabbage) and "chou-fleur" (cauliflower) are both very common French terms of endearment. Along with caille (quail) and canard (duck). The French are weird.
Imma be real with you, I have never seen anyone use "Chou-fleur" as an endearment term in France, on the other hand I have seen "Choupinette" and "Chou" being used, that's for sure.
My wild guess would be that it may be more common to see this specific term being used in french dialects which split from the french spoken in France, so in your case Québécois French. The word may have been used in the past but I think it has been lost to time, here at least.
Still a shame that they haven't dubbed Meet the Spy in french, because I genuinely wonder how they would've handled everything.
