Robby realized his feelings for Langdon when he learned about his addiction. What he felt wasn't just disappointment, but also the weakness of loving him. He can't understand which side he's talking about when he loves him. Is it the addict, or the one who has been lying to him for months? Robby truly hates this. Logically, he should hate him after learning the truth, but he can't; instead, he becomes more attached to him. He's too weak to accept this.

Langdon, on the other hand, has loved Robby from the very beginning. He knew the only way to keep him was to lie. He couldn't admit to either of them that he was truly addicted.
