using violence to liberate people from sweatshops, unsafe mines, and grinding poverty isn't the same as using violence to impose those things on people. the idea that violence is morally repugnant regardless of context is a belief that every oppressor throughout history would love for the oppressed to hold

you're right, simply destroying sweatshops through violence would indeed be pointless and counterproductive. sweatshops don't spring up by random chance though, they're created and recreated the world over due to the laws that the system of capitalism operates by. the system of capitalist political and economic rule itself routinely puts people in dire enough situations that they have no choice but to work 14 hours a day for poverty pay. the way to give sweatshop workers and the other highly exploited workers better choices is by taking political power out of the hands of the class who's exploiting them and giving it to the workers. that takes violence in some amount, because the capitalist class never gives up its rule over society without resistance, as we've seen many times now

there's this strawman of communism that anti-communists trade in, that marxists believe in tearing down the current system without building any replacement and then just hoping a replacement emerges- Scott Alexander was particularly fond of this talking point- and it just makes it clear that the anti-communist using that talking point has read little to nothing of marxist theory. building dual power- that is, building up competing party/state institutions that exist alongside and in competition with the existing state institutions *before* overthrowing the current state- has been part of matxist revolutionary theory since Lenin and has informed every marxist revolutionary movement since.
