Mostly Original Nonsense

Can we just like get rid of "vague unstoppable all consuming force of pure evil" as a stock threat. It's the absolute lamest possible source of conflict you can have in your story. I don't even have any sort of principled moral objection to it or anything, I just hate it, it's so boring. It's so big the stakes feel meaningless and the actual threat of failure is essentially absent. It has no motivation or character other than being evil, it instantly vacuums the tension out of a story for me whenever it becomes clear this is what's going on.

I generally avoid publishing anons i suspect to be in bad faith since i feel like I'd effectively be giving of metaphorical kairomones letting dumb, mean people know I'm a volatile sucker who's willing to humor them publically which like. I can't say im interested in doing you know
