Spike and Rarity are about to enjoy a cup of tea.

This ask comes to you courtesy of my weekend stay at my caravan in wales, where I forgot to pack any tea and had to endure a cup of Earl Grey when I wanted a cuppa. I do not favour Earl Grey.

Do you have a preferred brew? Mine is this:

I don’t know if it’s the purity of the water on the Welsh coast or something purely psychological about tea drinking at said relaxing locale, but it seems to make a superior cuppa.

oh, lovely question. I love tea of many kinds, both herbal and actually tea-based. I'm not usually a fan of fruit teas (I'm sorry, I know they're technically a 'tisane' but I'm already pretentious enough about food).

I generally drink tea from Bird and Blend. mostly loose-leaf, because I like the process of it. it feels like a real treat. at present my favourite is their Salted Caramel Lebkuchen tea, which has just about beaten out their Mocha Chai, for decaf, I love Enchanted Narnia.

I used to really like T2's Scots Breakfast, but it's not easy to get where I live any more. I also drank tons of Pukka's Peppermint and Licquorice as an undergrad and I think I might have to buy some more soon.

I personally really like an Earl Grey or a Lapsang Souchong, but every so often I'll go for a mug of builder's tea made with either Yorkshire or Betty's tea, with milk. potentially a bit of sugar if I'm particularly in need of a treat or on panel five of a one-day conference.

I'm also an absolute nut for bubble tea. Usually with a bog standard milk tea, medium sugar, no ice, tapioca pearls, but sometimes a taro milk tea.

in the end, though, i think Salted Caramel Lebkuchen is my current favourite. it'll change in a few months, I reckon.
