“I’m here as a member of the Mutant X taskforce.” Not entirely true but close enough. “And you are most definitely a mutant. So I’ll ask you again- Who the hell are you?”

“Okay, not entirely. See, I’m here because I got a recruiting call- I work as a recruiter for the Jean Grey School; I find mutant kids and offer them a bed, education and more importantly, a safe place to learn, live and grow. Now sometimes calls I get are traps and those aren’t too terribly fun to deal with but I haven’t come here looking for a fight and I see no evidence supporting a trap so why are you so hostile-”

“Look, Cee, it’s not that I don’t want to, it’s that I physically can’t. I’ve got-” A date with my mother... wait, that sounds wrong- I’ve got a set time to meet with my mother in a private location where hopefully she won’t be targeted for another attack and no one will make the connection that we’re related-  “A thing.
