Rat For A Brain

Hello Friends!! I added an update to my fundraiser, but I also wanted to take a moment to update y’all here. Melvin is doing alright and had his cardiologist appointment. Unfortunately, the cardiologist found that he has a rare heart disease, double chamber right ventricle (DCRV), which is causing his heart murmur.

We are hopeful— Melvin is now on meds that will help slow his heart rhythm, but all we can really is monitor and love him.

These meds are not cheap however, and although the medication, along with follow ups and other pet expenses, are certainly in our budget— I am also a full time student in my last year of a post-bacc teaching cert, and I want to be able to help pay for his costs as much as possible.

I am pushing my fundraiser less now— I believe there are far more pressing issues in the world that require more attention and fundraising than my cat’s condition.

The gofundme is still up, but I want to now push my ko-fi art shop.

On my site, I sell linocut sew-on patches, pins and buttons, as well as original paintings.

I am also taking art commissions for $5 or more.

Everything on my site has a set price, with the option to add more as a tip or donation to Melvin’s costs.
