What softwares and solutions are we using for our fanmade game?

Hello there 👋

Good news: you can romance as many LI as you want, however you like, with no restrictions at all! The only thing to keep in mind is that the other characters won't acknowledge that you're dating multiple people at once (there's no in-game recognition of polyamory).

Here's how the romance system works: each LI has a romance score. Romantic interactions (like little gestures or extra dialogue) unlock once someone reaches 5 points. When you pick a "main LI" in Chapter 01, they automatically start with 5 points, so their romantic interactions begin right away. For any other LIs you want to romance, you'll need to build their score by choosing the heart ♥ options during the story.

Example: If you're romancing both Beckett and Shreya and they've both reached 5 points, they'll both show romantic behavior toward you.

If you want to start fresh, don't choose anyone in Chapter 01, and simply pick the romance options in the following chapters: everyone starts from zero that way!

The second question is about your main LI 🥰

Hello there, Testing is ongoing, and the beta-testers team have been super helpful and a pure joy to have around! Chapter 04 is officially done, and Chapter 05 is well on course. There's still plenty to do, but we're almost on schedule. We might end up pushing past our initial goal of releasing the first batch of chapters in May with a June launch, but honestly, that might be for the best. We should be able to share a release schedule with you very soon!

Once again, we're endlessly grateful for your continued support: more than 900 of you have downloaded the demo, that's just unbelievable! The next survey goes up Friday. Thank you so much for all your replies on the outfit one 🩵

The first question is about outfits 👗👖

For everyone who's been wondering what beta testing involves, the wait is over: we're officially opening recruitment for beta testers!

What's expected of a beta tester?

You'll get early access to our pre-release chapters. Your role will be to identify bugs and typos, and provide feedback on your experience while playing a specific route. 👉 This requires discretion (you'll not be able to share publicly about what you read) and attention to detail. We'll do our best to assign you your favorite LI, but you might need to play in a way that's different from your natural choices (moral compass, good/bad decisions, etc...).

How can I volunteer?

You must be 18+ and have either a computer (PC, Linux, or Mac) or an Android phone/tablet. Location doesn't matter, but your English needs to be pretty solid (native speakers are ideal). You should also be able to provide feedback promptly after receiving a test file. Each chapter takes about 45 minutes to complete, and since typo-checking is involved, you'll need to read carefully.

Unfortunately, we can't offer payment as we're all volunteers on this project.

Hey everyone 👋 We've spent the last few days reworking parts of Chapter 03. Some parts had a rhythm issue that were blocking progress on Chapter 04, so we went back and fixed it. Chapter 03 is in a much better place now, and we can finally move forward.

We're a little behind our original schedule, but we're still feeling confident about a first release window around May. We'll keep you updated! One thing coming up soon: we'll be looking for beta testers/readers before we release! If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, stay tuned. Please hold off on sending messages about it for now, we'll be sharing a sign-up form soon.

Will there be a dirty thirty (or something of the sorts) between Atlas & Saffron? 👀💎

In relation to the question you answered about MC having nightmares, will you also be focusing in on Atlas's trauma at all?

They went through so much and it felt so glossed over in the books!!

Honestly, we feel the same way about pretty much every character in TE, MC included... We're genuinely trying not to repeat those mistakes.

Atlas is going to face some mental challenges, and all the trauma they've been carrying (losing their caretakers, years alone on the run, being trapped in the mirror dimension, constantly having to be the strong one alongside MC...), none of that is going to just disappear.

The big difference we're trying to make is that MC and Atlas will actually try to work through things together, as siblings. Don't fret, there'll still be plenty of banter (that's just who they are 👀).
