every time i come on here there’s a new white guy
saw somebody with a reanimator x muppet crossover shirt at the grocery store some time ago and was pleasantly surprised. didn’t know my town was capable of anything even remotely cool.
ALSO something I saw that came up on a community post(?) on here many months ago was someone talking about how their parents hated how Vocaloid sounded and didn’t know what to do. I felt a strong urge to chime in because my parents said the same thing to me when I first got into Vocaloid at age 8. Same complaints about it being “screech-y” or ear-bleeding, or whatever version of the words… I was also bullied at school a lot for really liking it when no one else knew what it was. Now I’m 22 and my parents got used to it, and I see Vocaloid everywhere when I go out. Don’t take crap from anyone about Vocaloid! Miku is forever!

Btw I am actually working on an animatic that had been festering in my head for a couple years depicting Caroline’s backstory to the song Soft Love by the Symposium for an animation final. I probably won’t ever upload it but I hope you can see the vision.
I am very passionate about how Portal is a very feminist game. I see a lot of people say that Portal is progressive because it could’ve had a protagonist of interchangeable gender, and that Chell being a woman affects nothing. But it completely does! Chell being a woman is inherent to the plot and theming of the narrative! Portal is progressive because it depicts corporate exploitation of women and actively shows a woman perservering and overcoming that abuse!!!
The misogyny Chell puts up with is ungodly. It’s GLaDOS’s insults about your appearance and clothes, Wheatley’s constant condescending and assumption you’re incompetent, the way Cave Johnson talks about Caroline and takes away her agency, Wheatley’s adoption of GLaDOS’s insults towards Chell once he’s in power, all of “The Itch” section, it’s even embedded in the company culture of Aperture :
The implications of this poster given that Wheatley is currently in charge at this point in the game drive me insane
Not to discount your points, but I’m pretty sure those posters were around for a while and not put up by Wheatley? I don’t think he has the means to put up posters, or even make them.
Coming out of my almost 2 year hiatus to say this AGAIN because people are still trying to correct me by pointing out Wheatley didn’t make the posters.
I didn’t say anywhere that Wheatley made the posters.
I was pointing out that these posters are in a part of the game where Wheatley is currently in charge. At the same time Wheatley takes over the facility, we are sent to the bowels of it to learn of Aperture’s misogynistic past. That is all. It’s just an intentional narrative congruence.

Doctor Who Advent Calendar
—Day 2
You understand that Kim's perception of himself as a "good cop" is a character flaw that is meant to be questioned, yes? That he is a good man but equally he is petty and mean and embittered by years of living through the racism he experiences on the force and he takes that out on the people he's meant to serve and protect. Taking the jackets from Pissfaggot and Fuck the World? A cop grasping for a little bit of power in a situation where he feels powerless. He looks better in comparison to the other cops because they're terrible. He's a good man but a bad cop. The RCM, the power, the racism, the violence, is a dead weight hung around his neck pulling him down.
Harry's attempts at being a good cop are explicitly futile; he is working for an organisation that is killing him by inches, killing Martinaise, killing Jamrock. He can try and try to be better; people still die because of the inaction of the police. He's held up as a cop with a low kill record before the game. He still killed three people. The copness is a malicious consuming force for him. Why do you think he tried to flush his case papers down the toilet and sell his gun? He's chronically physically and mentally ill and his healthcare is tied into an organisation with a monopoly on legalized violence. He hates himself for leaning into the violence and he also can't escape it. His status as a police officer keeps him trapped in it, no matter how hard he tries to be a good cop, to emulate Dick Mullen, however warped his idea of that may be.
Disco Elysium never presents the idea of a good cop as a truth, a certainty. Only ever as a fun house mirror, a reflection of what we actually are given, distorted by layers of media and irony and the sheer impossibility of people responding well to that level of power. Revachol's cops are corrupt. They kill, they brag about it, they steal from homeless people, they sit idle while crimes- not even crimes but the extrajudicial execution of the union workers- are committed. Better than the worst of them does not mean good, does not mean justified. The RCM cops are like kids playing police based off what they saw on TV, with their nicknames and their quips and their laissez faire attitude towards the law applying to them. Perhaps they try to perform the role of good cops. But anything deeper than surface level will reveal that it is exactly that; a performance.
