1. How do you choose your characters/series/topic?
Most often it’s like... I need to get more content about something that makes me happy, like certain characters/series. I want to write things I would love to read. I also want to know the origin story fairly well before writing.
2. What type of fanfiction do you tend to write?
I tend to like “deleted scenes” type of fics. In other words, exploring characters I love and offscreen moments while staying canon compliant. I’m not big on AUs.
3. When / how often do you write?
Nowadays, practically never? “:D” No I mean, I don’t have the routine down in my current life, so it’s a snip at a fic and a tweak at another like once a month... Which is a bummer.
4. Do you write at night or in daylight?
I used to be a night owl but the older I get the more useless my brain goes when I’m tired, so... I have the highest chance of actually writing something if I open a fic before I’ve finished my morning coffee.
5. Do you listen to music when you write?
Absolutely not, I'm horrible at focusing! I do have some songs that I associate with my OTPs, but I don’t listen to them while I write.
6. How much do you edit before you publish?
I never finish anything in one go and I tend to edit a bit everytime I open the file. I also try to take time to sleep on finished things at least for one night and fixing them again. Nowadays I don’t have anyone to check the final version for errors, either.
7. Where do you publish your fics?
8. How do you feel about feedback/criticism?
I love feedback! I kind of miss the way things were back when I posted my first fics in my native language on HP forums... back then, people gave nice constructive criticism and cheered me on. It inspired me and helped me grow as a writer. Nowadays, every time I find a spelling error or some other sort of dumb mistake on my published fic I’m like “why hasn’t anyone SAID anything?!?” :D
But I have to say I’m not a fan of those kind of comments where the reader like... just talks directly to the characters, tries to affect their decisions inside the story... It doesn’t give me anything to grasp as a writer. (Although there’s always happiness in knowing someone just read my work, of course.)
9. Do you do collaborations?
I’m too much of a procrastinator and uncomfortable with showing non-finished work to anyone... So no.
10. Do you discuss fanfiction with someone?
I’ve always enjoyed talking about fic ideas and my finished works with my friends! Sometimes brainstorming with them is a great way to get inspired. I miss that, it’s been 84 years... Thankfully I can always talk to my boyfriend.
About other people’s fics: I rarely share fic recs with friends, sadly... I guess I tend to read and enjoy it alone.
11. Is there any type of story you want to write but are hesitant to?
Hmm. I have personal irl issues with themes along jealousy and unfaithfulness, so I feel kinda uncomfortable thinking about those themes. But writing about it could be interesting and even helpful.
12. Any quotes etc. that help motivate or inspire you?
This has always been my absolute favorite post about writing. It’s breathtaking.

With his swimming gear on and most of his skin bare, Aiichirou was uncomfortably aware of both Sousuke’s and Seijuurou’s eyes on his body. On his neck, shoulders and chest, to be exact. On the fading, yet still very visible bite marks all over him, to be even more exact.
”Oh boy”, Sousuke said.
”Wow”, Seijuurou said.
Then the dark haired boy turned to Rin, one eyebrow arched but his tone flat. ”Seriously, Rin? It’s a national competition, and you’re making Nitori swim in front of an audience looking like that?”
