Living on the streets you quickly noticed how easier it was to live in a group rather than completely alone. In the end, a problem shared is a problem halved. So after you wandered for some time you finally found a group of children that accepted you

You quickly got accustomed and befriended the Akutagawa siblings. You were three very good friends, always sharing things with each other, playing little games while you searched together for food and sleeping together in the winter.

It wasn’t the typical child friendship you see in movies but it was still nice even if Ryūnosuke was more the quite kid while Gin did the major talking stuff. But he always tagged along.

Sadly your luck didn’t last long and you were alone again. And it made you only happier when you finally met him again, dressed fully in black and threatening you with Rashōmon for trying to steal his wallet. You both didn’t recognize each other for a moment before realization hit you both and he let go of you. He changed really much

He was much colder, much more violent than before but in the end you managed to re-establish your friendship with him and his sister to a certain point. Though warming up to each other again would be a long process.

Having Ryūnosuke as a childhood friend is hard. You can see how much he suffers because of all the expectations that are a burden on his shoulders and the lack of recognition from his mentor

So be ready to deal with his anger outburst and the aftermath. He’s not the person who talks about his feelings and emotions but be ready to meet him at the harbor in the middle of the night and just stand by his side, telling him something while you both look at the sea

At first it might come off like he’s not listening at all but you know that if he wouldn’t listen he wouldn’t stand beside you. It helps him to calm down a bit and distract himself from his thoughts

You would casually come over to his place with tea and sometimes some figs. Unlike nearly everyone you are welcomed in his home and you often hang out with Gin. Ryūnosuke has always his poker face on but that doesn’t mean that he isn’t happy. It’s nice to have good person around who doesn’t try to change him or intervene into his business.

Might sometimes accompany you when you go somewhere. You can’t demand from him that he will go somewhere with many people but if it’s a calm place he might tag along

Traditional cafés are one of your favorite places. Having a tea together with a nice view in a privat room is the best thing in the evening after a hard day

Because of his work you might not see him very often but it’s always appreciated when you drop by with some medicine or tea when he comes back from a mission. He won’t tell you directly about his work but in the end it’s easy to understand what he does

Maybe the only one in this list who won’t actually exploit your ability or force you to use it

“My love what is this thing???” he said a bit nervous as the flying couch approached him

After he finds out that you have this ability you’ll basically pass things to him the whole time. He needs the guest list that lays across the room real quick? No problem, here he goes.

The boxes that lay out of his height reach? They are no match for you too

But even many simple things that could have gone wrong in his casino were mostly prevented by you

He would be glad if you help him around the casino but won’t exploit your ability in his favor and wouldn’t force you to use it

He managed the casino somehow without your ability so he can still manage it without using your ability

Still sitting on a couch while you move from one destination to another while not even moving a finger is a literal luxury that he can experience and enjoy to the fullest

Your ability is your ticket to survive a little longer with this man

Your ability is the thing that caused his interest in you but his love is as twisted as he

He isn’t the one who keeps relationships for a long time and in your positions it’s a wonder how you even have one

Will make the craziest things with you and your ability. There isn’t even a question if you want to use your ability or not. You simply will

Never let the enemy know what your next move is they say and with your abilities nobody knows your next move

“Oh darling we will have so much fun after this!” he said as he swung you around and laughed

But your ability is maybe one of the few things that keep you alive

You see the organization he’s in is ruthless and never hesitates to use and kill people and the more you’re useless the shorter your life is

So you’re pretty lucky to having an ability with him and maybe it will help you to escape death. Just don’t show your betraying intentions or even your ability won’t help

A twisted being so to say

First of all to be in a healthy relationship with him you shouldn’t have an ability but still not be helpless

Being an ability user makes you a tool and in this case a tool for justice if you are with this man

He’s constantly torn between using your ability to the fullest and nearly exploiting it and actually understanding how hard it must be with this ability and letting you alone

Because of his position in the hunting dogs he can’t really say what is the best to do but even though he knows what would be the best for you both he probably won’t do it

Yes he wants to have a healthy relationship but your ability has just so much potential that it’s very hard to say no to using it

Will ask you to use it but if you refuse he might just manipulate you into using it in his favor and before you even notice it he will archive what he wants even though you may not like it

𝗥𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁: S/O gets injured while defending his pride in front of the enemy and stumbles back into his office with Chuuya Nakahara

“Hey Chuuya…is it normal to feel so dizzy after a scratch…?” you said before collapsing into his arms

When you first entered the office everything seemed alright. You were send to an investigation mission to find information about a lost ship container. Usually, such things are found pretty fast but not in this case

Apparently the scratch was more a stab wound. Of course, he knew that people sometimes don’t notice that they were stabbed but it was a wonder how you didn’t collapse on the way back to the headquarters

Before rushing to the emergency department he would tear a piece of cloth from your suit jacket to bandage your wound temporarily. Letting you lose more blood isn’t in his interests

Since you are being treated in the infirmary the report about the process of the mission and the information your team gathered falls on one of your colleagues. While nothing extraordinary happened for 90% of the time he told Chuuya but he mentioned how you ran in a group of thugs who were really excited to finish you off

Well, a gun is always a brilliant argument when it comes to dealing with such people. But you weren’t the one who would unnecessarily pull out a gun. Usually, your diplomatic abilities were enough to let people back away. But these guys were having a good time making fun of you and your connection with Chuuya

Especially the comments they were making about him, his fashion sense, his height and his status pissed you off since everybody knew that they would be too afraid to make fun of him in his presence. Such cowardly acts pulled really hard on your last strings of patients until they finally torn

He will remain calm so nobody would be able to detect any feelings on his poker face but on the inside he has a mixture of different emotions at the same time. Anger, frustration, proudness and….happiness???

Even if he doesn’t need someone to protect his pride in front of a bunch of low life’s and he doesn’t really care about other people's opinions about him, somewhere deep down he’s a bit proud of you and happy that you also defended him.

While he himself wasn’t there and it wouldn’t have mattered to him much what those thugs said he’s also happy that you didn’t leave him out. After all, being defended by someone is a nice feeling. He won’t admit it though.

But will scold you for being so careless and not going right away to the infirmary. It’s there for a reason, so don’t just go into his office when you know you’re hurt and are probably bleeding to death

𝗠𝗼𝗿𝗶 𝗢𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗶

“Darling did you find the movie you wanted to watch?”

“Yup! Finally. It’s hard to find good movies these days.” you sighed “They characters either do the most stupid decisions, the plot is boring or not scary at all. And I want some good stuff.”

Moments like this were rare. As the boss of the port mafia he was a really busy man. If he wasn’t busy with paperwork and organizing, he was busy resting or fulfilling Elise’s needs and requests. Of course you were mostly present in the last part but you still hadn’t much time alone. Just you two. It was simply a prize you had to pay if you wanted to be with him.

“Ahhh it’s been a long time since I watched something.” he said thoughtful while leaning back onto the sofa “If I remember well it was more than a year ago”

“Well let’s see if some horror will be your cup of tea then. The ratings of this movie are pretty high and the reviews are nearly all over good.”

You sat down beside him and leaned your head on his shoulder while he put an arm around your waist. As the time went by and the plot in the movie developed you noticed by the look on his face that he could easily spoil the whole plot. The movie was pretty scary but you doubted that this could scare a person who had done things worse than that. And now as one of the main characters ran to the last train you could only think ‘Run, Run, Run! Don’t turn back. Just Run!’ the tension was high and you were curious what would happen next. But as often seen in horror movies he turned around. A black matter pierced trough his face making it a quite brutal and gore-some death. At the same time you let out a short but high pitched scream. This movie had a high rating for gore after all.

With a “Hmm?” he lowered the volume of the TV. He looked at you with curious and a bit surprised eyes. It wasn’t like you never watched horror movies, in fact when he sometimes passed by you he often saw someone get murdered in your phone. But he guessed that seeing some get pierced right through the mouth was a bit too much.

“You alright?” he asked

“Yes I am. Can you turn the volume up? I don’t hear anything.”

“Awww my Y/N-chan you’re so cute when you are grumpy and fearless.” he exclaimed pulling you closer into his arms

“I’m not afraid, I was just simply surprised. That’s all.” you explained

“Of course, of course” he smiled

“I have a brilliant Idea!” he exclaimed “Let’s watch something Elise friendly next time. I’m sure “Up” or “Finding Nemo” would be nice for both of you. Last time when we went to the aquarium she enjoyed watching the fish.”

“Isn’t “Finding Nemo” old?”

You weren’t against old movies or movies for children. Quite the opposite: It was nice to remember old childhood memories. It was refreshing but sad at the same time to remember old bygone days when life was easy and problems were small and unimportant.

“Perhaps, but old doesn’t mean bad. I hope I find some time soon to spend it with you two~”

𝗔𝗸𝘂𝘁𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘄𝗮 𝗥𝘆𝘂̄𝗻𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗸𝗲

“How about this one?”

“No.”

“And this?”

“No.”

For the last 5 minutes your conversation sounded like this. It was rather hard to find a movie that he would watch with you. He was at your place and since you didn’t plan anything to do you offered to watch a movie. The main quest was: Find a movie. You offered him many from different genres but he didn’t seem to like any of them. He was picky since he liked movies with a good and interesting plot. He declined every movie until you came into the horror section. You enjoyed horror movies but not all of them. Some were just too scary to handle. But it seemed he found the one among the others.

The description of the movie was interesting so you agreed to watch it. But after a while you kinda regretted it. The beginning was interesting and not scary at all. But right after the first 25 minutes the horror began. No question the movie was well made but the tense atmosphere, the dark and abandoned scenes and the empty bloody black holes that the person in front of the protagonist had instead of eyes made shivers run down your spine.

“Are you scared?” he said and looked at you

“Nope, not at all.” you said

The movie was more unsettling than scary. But he seemed to like it. Such moments were rather rare when you both could just sit together on the sofa and do nothing and the silence was still a pleasant one. Now around halfway through the movie there was a rather claustrophobic scene underwater. You were already nervous for the protagonist even if you knew that it was just fiction. You were hugging your pillow tightly and when you thought the main character made it the ‘thing’ that was following her jumped out. A typical jumpscare but enough to make you let out a high pitched scream. He looks at you concerned and pauses the movie.

“Are you alright?”

“Yeah yeah I'm alright don't worry...”

But you didn’t sound very confident and he on the other hand didn’t dive deeper into it and pressed the play button again. You sat on the sofa, hugging your pillow tightly with a unsettled look on your face when you felt his arm sliding around your shoulder that was pulling you softly to him. You turned your head a little bit to him but he was looking straight at the TV not paying attention to you. Affection wasn’t something that Akutagawa gave often or liked. But you didn’t decline his offer and snuggled up to him. Not too much but quite enough so you both were comfortable. With his other hand he covered his mouth to cough but he seemed unbothered and focused again on the movie. His gesture didn’t make the movie less unsettling but it made you calm down and be less frightened by it.

“Well…….since the movie is over should we go into the kitchen? I think I have some figs left in my refrigerator and I bought some tea yesterday too.”

You didn’t quite know what you should do after the movie but you didn’t want him to leave yet. You thought he would say no but with a nod he covered his mouth with his hand to cough. As you stood up he quietly followed you to the kitchen to continue this lovely night.

𝗘𝗱𝗴𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗼𝗲

“A-are you sure that you want to watch that movie?”

“Yeah I’m pretty sure. Why? Are you afraid?” you teased him

“No of course!”

It was a lie. He was scared of the movie. Even though he himself probably wrote some scarier mystery novels than that movie he still didn’t feel right with this one. The bright red 18+ mark, the dark cover with blood and tools that were used in old psychiatry’s (also covered in blood) made him curious and frightened at the same time. Psychological horror wasn’t his cup of tea after all.

“You sure? If you don’t like it we can always watch something else. I know some great comedy movies too.”

Even if his reaction were funny you still cared about him. The last thing you wanted is to make him uncomfortable but he insisted that he wasn’t scared at all so you let him be…for now. You were looking forward for your movie night the whole week but till the end you didn’t quite know what to watch. In the end your choice fell on a horror movie from the 90s. You placed the snacks and drinks on the table in front of the sofa and clicked on ‘play’ after you both got comfortable.

The first hour of the 3 hours long movie were fine. The plot was pretty good and didn’t fall into typical clichés that you often see. Poe almost thought that it was just an old detective movie and not a horror one. Almost. Slowly the movie became creepy. The visions of the mental ill patient got worse, the paranoia and schizophrenia made the line between reality and vision blurry and the attempts to escape the psychiatry became more and more desperate. Even you both couldn’t tell if something was reality or just another projection of the twisted mind of the protagonist. Poe started to fell more frightened than in the beginning. Chills ran down his spine and you could see on his face how unsettling the movie was for him. Near the end when the movie reached its peak of action and the most horror already happened he felt a bit better. But in the end the last jumpscare got him. It was too calm in the movie and he sensed that something was wrong but this came a bit unexpected. Even you were taken aback but the short high pitched scream didn’t come from you. It came from the person beside you who hugged the pillow. In the end you just waited for the credits to approach him.

“And how was it? Too scary~?”

“N-No, it was not!”

“Yeah, yeah we will just ignore the little scream of yours near the end~” you smiled innocently

Behind his black hair that was covering his eyes you could see a blush. He opened and closed his mouth searching for words to defend himself from your teasing. After all, he didn’t watch as many scary movies as you so he was easily terrified of them. Before he could say something you stopped him.

“Alright before you say anything let’s watch some TV-shows. There are some channels which show late night comedy and contests so let’s watch something before we go to sleep.” you said and reached for the TV remote.

He felt defeated. But he didn’t say another word and just leaned back on the sofa holding you close to him. Holding you was relieving since he knew he wasn't alone. You snuggled up to him and were quickly using the remote to find an interesting show.

“I was not scared…” he said silently but determined

𝐴𝑛𝑑 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑦 𝑑𝑖𝑠𝑎𝑝𝑝𝑒𝑎𝑟𝑒𝑑

“Earl Grey? A really interesting choice my love.”

The woman who was sitting behind an elegant white dressing table was slowly brushing through her honey-colored hair. Her mint umbrella was standing right beside her mint dress which was hanging on the closet door. Usually, she wouldn't allow anyone to see her like this walking around in her pajama. It wasn't ladylike at all and even the servants who brought the tea decently put the cups down on the table without looking up and left as quick as they came.

On the other side of the room, you were laying on the large bed. Because of the big amount of work you laid face down on the mattress. You were patiently waiting for her to finish with her night routine. Even though you could just sleep without her you still waited and waited. Between brushing her hair and getting ready for bed she sipped from her cup. You could see that she liked your choice. Her cup was nearly empty.

“I think it matches you.”

“Isn’t it late for tea though?”

“It’s never late for a good cup of tea, love.”

Outside the wind started to get stronger. The weather wasn’t the nicest and the whole week is going to be stormy and cold. Really cold. It was winter after all. But tomorrow the weather should be nice (or at least not that windy) if you remembered quite well so you pronounced your thought out loud.

“Tomorrow the weather should be nice. How about we go for a walk together? In the rose garden for example. Even though there aren’t any flowers now the sight should be beautiful and since it’s still cold there shouldn’t be much people around.”

You both often went to the rose garden. Especially in summer and spring it was a really beautiful place while in winter you could enjoy the snow covered garden that was still beautiful, even without the flowers. But the only thing that bothered was the cold. In the area you both were living it could get really cold in the winter. Even the warmest clothes you wore only halfway helped especially when it was windy. But tomorrow was a calm day.

“A great idea. I like it. We shouldn’t forget to dress in warm clothes or you will get sick.”

“Since when do I get sick. You were the one who got sick last time.” you exclaimed while smiling

“Oh shush your sweet mouth my love. As I remember I was sick only one time while you were the one who gets sick nearly every year. Now move a bit or you must sleep alone in this bed.”

“Yeah, yeah I got it, I got it I’ll wear extra warm clothes just for you my love.” you chuckled as you moved to your side

𝙒𝙖𝙨 𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧𝙚 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙖 𝙙𝙞𝙛𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙨𝙤𝙡𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣?

The Synonym Death.

Death is the permanent, irreversible cessation of all biological functions that sustain a living organism.

How does death feel? The moment you can tell how it feels you are already a corpse. But corpses don’t talk and keep their mouth shut and so you keep silent forever. It’s not like there was a different solution. Since the government doesn’t like betrayals and some information in the wrong hands can cause dramatical consequences for every citizen in the world. It’s the best choice to kill the one who betray. From the beginning you had just one mission. Get in, transfer some important data and maybe get out if you don’t get caught. Well working for an international crime organization wasn’t always easy and you always doubt you would live past your 30s. Since you managed to get into the governments special unit for unusual powers it was much easier to move around and gather the necessary information. Though it always felt like walking on sharp blades.At some point in this time, you really thought you could change. Stop being a criminal and start a new career. But they always reminded you who you are and that you won’t be able to change. They wouldn’t let you go so easily, that’s not how it works. Since your path crossed with the hunting dogs your fear of being caught just got bigger. You learned that not all of them are heartless beasts but betrayal is betrayal and they have their methods of dealing with it. But even if your fear rose, in the meantime you got even closer to the danger. Even though your relationship with Tetchō was strange and you never knew what you currently are it was nice that you weren’t completely alone. You were something like friends, something like partners, something like lovers but from the beginning nobody could tell what it was in the end. It was complicated. But you both were happy. Since both of you were busy you didn’t spend much time with each other but the few moments together made your life a little bit better, made you forget who you actually are and why you are there.

But getting too close to the danger eventually will get everyone killed. You were always afraid of Jōno. He was like a deadly shadow and you always tried to stay away from him. The way he was extracting the necessary information sent shivers down your spine. The thought of being caught by him, being tortured and killed made the urge to run away stronger. You already noticed how he glanced at you and it was a clear sign of suspicion. He wasn’t stupid. Slowly he started to confront you with your affiliation. It felt like a hanging rope was slowly getting tighter around your neck and you couldn’t do anything against it. Run? He will catch you. Stay? You will end up dead anyway. In your last week, you managed to transfer the last data you needed and you were ready to get out. Get out from Japan and never come back. Your organization got what it needed. But when the time came for you to leave you were stopped.

“Y/N do you have time?”

The voice came from behind the door after a knock. You knew it was Tetchō but you still were high alerted. What if he wasn’t alone? What if there were other agents or worse: this sadist Jōno himself. Still not opening the door wasn’t an option. So you made your way to the door and opened it. Tetchō was standing there in his usual hunting dogs uniform and he was completely alone in the hallway. Like in old movies he held his hat in his arm like a soldier. You let him in. There was silence for a moment between you. You weren’t looking at him and he wasn’t looking at you. You didn’t understand what he wanted from you. Why should he even come to you at 1 a.m.? You were busy with your own thoughts until he spoke again.

“I like you. Like very like you. I know I never told you this and I myself don’t know what we even are…I just wanted to tell you this. Tomorrow I will attend to a very important meeting and I don’t know when we will see each other again. And I wanted to say that I will miss you very much. I hope we can see each other soon.”

His face showed nearly no emotions and his voice was calm as usual. He looked at you but you didn’t say anything. The only thought in your head was ‘He likes me!!!’. But you weren’t happy at all because you knew you wouldn’t see him again. Not tomorrow, not the day after tomorrow, and not even days after the day after tomorrow. With a sad smile, you walked over to him for a hug. His arms welcomed you. You hugged him and buried your face in his chest. How sad and angry you were. Why did you just meet under these circumstances?!

“Y/N why are you crying?”

But you didn't have an answer. This was the last time you are seeing him and he doesn't know it. Was there ever a different solution? No, not anymore. If you don't want to die you need to run. Because if he finds out, he will personally kill you. You didn't have the will to live but at the same time, you didn't want to die. Well, now it's too late anyway. Tomorrow you won't be in Japan anymore and it's goodbye forever.

His behavior wouldn’t change much. He might only get a little bit more sadistic than usual and start smiling

But it wouldn't be a happy smile, more a sadistic and dark one

He exactly knows what you want, he exactly knows that you fear him, that you fear the day he will give you the peaceful dead

But he likes your sweet pain and fear. These feelings make the difference between humans and puppets. It makes them alive

If he choose a movie night he would take some old movies to play in the background. They doesn’t necessarily interest him, you and your reactions are far more interesting

But his softness really depends on how you behave. If you for example tried to escape don’t think he will be soft with you

You will receive the cold shoulder for weeks until he is over it. Only after that he would give you a second chance and try to be soft with you again

He’s not as twisted as Dazai to provoke conflicts but he’ll be always alerted of your movements so don’t even think of anything stupid

Since you would have more freedom around the house expect to receive random affection from him trough the day. He isn’t really the one who likes to cuddle and kiss you the whole time

Small gestures like giving you a kiss when he comes home or randomly play with your hair are the things he likes more than ‘pointless and empty affection’
