A Short Film about (Ben Moyo) a self taught photographer who is using his passion to build confidence and self love in a society plagued with colourism.

Ben Moyo grew up with low self esteem, as a result of the media's standard of beauty and colourism / shadeism which made him hate his dark complexion. A few years ago he decided to turn this around and uses his photography to show how beauty comes in all shapes, sizes, colours and shades.

Every human problem must be considered from the standpoint of time. Ideally, the present will always contribute to the building of the future. And this future is not the future of the cosmos but rather the future of my century, my country, my existence. In no fashion should I undertake to prepare the world that will come later. I belong irreducibly to my time. And it is for my own time that I should live. The future should be an edifice supported by living men. This structure is connected to the present to the extent that I consider the present in terms of something to be exceeded."

#ilovemylyfie is a unique project that focuses on showing women they are beautiful no matter what their size, it focuses on feeling beautiful from within. Photographer Claire Thomson created the campaign because she had had enough of the stereotype that beautiful = skinny, in Claire’s words “It is time we start loving what we are made of. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, why not celebrate it by sharing your story with other women.”
