There is something very simple but also very hard in this pile and it is the fact that you are the only person you will definitely have to deal with for the rest of your life. Like there is no escaping that, there is no moment where you can just step away from yourself and be like okay I will come back later when I feel better about this. And it almost feels like you treat yourself as if you are temporary, as if you are someone that does not need that much care or love because maybe someone else will give it to you. But that is not how it works. Because even if someone else loves you, even if someone else cares for you deeply, if you do not love yourself it will never fully reach you in the way that it should. It will always feel like something is missing, like something is off, and you will not understand why. It is because you are not giving yourself the same thing you are expecting from others. If you really think about it, if you do not love yourself you are basically putting yourself in a relationship with someone you do not even like that much. And that someone is you. And you cannot leave. You cannot break up, you cannot take space, you cannot just ignore it forever because it will always come back. Every single day. And that is honestly just very miserable. It is like being stuck in something that drains you constantly without a way out. And you do not deserve that, definitely not. You deserve to feel comfortable with yourself, you deserve to feel safe within your own mind, your own body. And I feel like you sometimes forget that that is even an option for you. Like you think maybe this is just how it is supposed to be, like you are just supposed to be hard on yourself, criticise yourself, never fully be satisfied. But that is not true at all. That is something you learned, not something that is meant for you.

You have a lot of potential in you, way more than you allow yourself to actually see or acknowledge most of the time. For someone to actually flourish and grow into their full potential they need to be treated well. That is just how it works. If someone is constantly put down, ignored, or not taken care of properly it will not grow the way it is supposed to. You are very quick to dismiss your own ideas, your own talents, your own progress. You do not give yourself enough credit, and you definitely do not give yourself the same kindness you would give to other people. There is also this thing where you wait for other people to validate you first before you allow yourself to feel proud or worthy. But that kind of validation is not always going to come, and even if it does it will never feel like its enough if you do not already believe it a little bit yourself. So you stay stuck in this cycle where you are waiting and waiting, while also not giving yourself what you are waiting for. If you think about it, you would never treat someone you care about the way you treat yourself sometimes. You would definitely encourage them, you would tell them to go for their dreams, you would remind them of their strengths. But when it comes to you, you hesitate, you doubt, you pull back. And that is exactly why you should love yourself more. Not in a forced way, but in a way where you start treating yourself like someone who actually matters, someone who actually deserves to grow and succeed. Because you do. And the more you start to treat yourself like that, the more space you create for that potential to actually come out and exist in the real world, not just in your head.
