#bisexuality#i think what a lot of people don’t realize is that ‘bisexual’ is a reclaimed term#it was coined as a medical diagnosis (in the context of identity) so while the prefix suggests a binary#its reclamation has always been aggressively trans-inclusive (see: Anything That Moves)#for m-spec labels to dominate the public consciousness as more progressive or anyway distinct from bisexual is honestly insulting#the points been made already but it would be like making a distinct term for ‘lesbian’ or ‘gay’ that’s explicitly trans-inclusive#i don’t fault people for wanting to signal their trans identity/allyship but frankly if you identify with mspec labels i don’t trust you#fastest way to let me know you don’t know about bi history
