I created this video as a self-led exploration in After Effects 3D animation. It shows how my knowledge map project unfolds.

Bottom image: These photos show different ways to look at the map to compare multiple panels. By unfolding different sections of the map, the user can compare individual use of the library's study rooms with both individual enclosed workspaces and individual group spaces in corporate settings. Similarly, the user can compare group use of the study rooms with other group spaces.

This is my design for a hypothetical translating app for iPad. The features include direct translation, a phrase book through which the user can search by category or keyword, user-created lists of phrases for easy return, and a favorites section for the user's frequently searched phrases. The semi-functional prototype is on invision at https://invis.io/9J63QXNGS

For this project I had to create a fictional conference about a design topic of my choice. I chose designers to speak and compiled background information and articles from them for my topic, User Experience design for mobile. I designed this catalog which would be provided to the conference attendees.

I designed the spreads for this book using the Van de Graaf Canon and with traditional style choices in mind. I also designed the cover and bound the book with a five-hole pamphlet stitch. Used paragraph styles and booklet printing.

5 diagrams and 1 18x24″ poster based on my analysis of the Trade Gothic typeface.

Shown here is my presentation booklet detailing interventions (products/experiences) I designed to accompany my exhibition (featured in a previous post). Originally printed on 11x17″ paper and presented as spreads.

Exhibition design based on user ownership and control throughout the history of recorded music, discussed in reverse order. Exhibition would be full-size at 16 x 70′. Also featured: logo design and promotional poster designs.

Assignment: Use the same word or phrase in two posters but change the meaning with context. I chose to portray domestic violence and how it can be hidden beneath the surface of a seemingly happy relationship. Photoshop. April 2015.

I photographed the process of making coffee, arranged and photographed the coffee grounds, and created the layouts using Photoshop and InDesign. Presented as an accordion-fold with 5 8x8″ pages. March 2015
