#map design

Prefacing this with the fact it is going to be colored and I'll post that version too

but behold, my lamb's cult Paradise. Settled in a valley surrounded by cliff faces, the cult that started out as a few sleeping bags and a tent has grown into an expansive village.

my plan at the moment is to go in and make detailed drawings of Most of the highlighted points of interest (excluding the fields probably sorry lol) so that folks can click on them and view them!

Forgive my poorly done sketches, i‘m trying to design the map. I do think the og map fits if you ignore the glaring fact that it is just the map of the Uk and Ireland.

Note: I know that the Night Court is the biggest land in acotar anyway, but my version has reasons for it’s size.

A very simple map

Sheol does not descend but has circles in the form of massive continents with countries and capitals

Envy is made up 89% water with some islands and flows out to the Abyss/Abaddon. It is the largest circle of Sheol(yes, the water counts as part of the territory).

The fifth circle is the second largest, containing Wrath, Despair, and Sloth as separate countries.

Lust and Gluttony are equally the third largest circles.

Limbo is a floating island that sits above Purgatory, with waterfalls flowing into lakes

Neither Limbo nor Purgatory are circles, but intermediaries between Eden and Sheol. Humans who have not committed sins qualifiable for damnation but haven't accomplished enough to earn paradise arrive in Limbo.

Limbo and Purgatory

Limbo is the entrance to Purgatory/Sheol, a magical gate around Eden guarded by Jeremiel, who also sends people up to Eden if they've sufficiently repented. It exists for people to ruminate and reflect on their actions in an environment that lacks earthly temptations

The people here can choose to either work and aspire to a virtue to enter Eden, remain in Limbo or Purgatory, or descend to Sheol and join the legion of sinners. Though, once they descend, they can not reenter Limbo.

Purgatory was a safe pace for humans guilty of minor sins or innocent of wrongdoing. It protected them from beastification, chaos, and endless torment outside. The main center/draw was a purifying fire. Specifically, sinners go through the purifying fire to be reborn through pain and ecstasy. After this ordeal and some time, it's possible to be reborn and live a mortal life once again

No one knows exactly how long Purgatory has existed, but the scholars of Sheol and Eden believe that it arose by itself, naturally, as a counterbalance to immortality and endless pain. It was a refuge for humans innocent or burdened with minor sins where they could live peacefully, try again at life, or be heard by the Creator. Before Jesus opened Eden to humans, Purgatory fulfilled this role
