My sweet Tanky Boy passed away unexpectedly Thursday night :(

He was nibbling on a blueberry T-minus 1 minute prior and went quickly. I could be there too, so it worked out for the best.

His absence is so large. I never knew exactly how old he was, but he passed just shy of one month since his Gotcha Day!

This blog is now dedicated to his precious memory. He changed a lot of people’s minds about pet rats, sometimes by force! What a guy. RIP

He’s a brown rex rat with a curly mustache

I found him on PetFinder last July and drove 12 hours to adopt him from Virginia

He has eaten almost every edible ocean animal including lionfish, which I’m not sure any other rat ever has

I think those are the most important points

He is a wonderful creature that gives me joy every time I look at him and I made this blog so he can do that for you too :)
