Can we talk about the weird way white people treat ancient cultures? They act as if Egyptian culture or Babylonian culture or Ancient Chinese culture somehow universally belong to everyone, they act like the ancient cultures are completely divorced from their modern counterparts. For example, whites have no problem using and recreating the image of Ishtar or Isis, they even buy stolen artifacts from the black market, saying that they “respect” and “love” the ancient culture, but they also have no problem bombing Iraq and literally destroying whatever ancient objects are left, and they show so much disdain for modern-day Egyptians who manage the pyramids and are trying to make a living off of it….it’s disgusting, if you claim to respect our ancient cultures so much, you should at least respect the descendants of these cultures. Those artifacts are OURS not yours.

hey (@americans) please remember that the pandemic is not over. please wear masks, keep six feet away from each other, don’t go out for unecessary stuff. i know that a lot of states are reopening but the cases are increasing again and we’re starting a second wave. i know we’re all tired of covid and there’s a lot going on right now but please please please remember this isn’t over. I’m serious. I keep seeing posts about people going to restaurants, planning barbecues, going on dates with new people, etc. I’m begging you, please stop. We only got this under control because we isolated. What was the point of the last three months of hardship if we’re just going to go back and spread the virus again? This isn’t over just because you’re tired of it.
