&&. is that ( zhang han )?? no, it’s just ( jin jianguo ). he is a ( emperor ) of ( china ). he is ( 35 ) years old and his birthday is the ( 18 ) of ( february ) which makes him a ( aquarius ).  he is ( principled and conscientious ) and ( unsure and secretive. ) but, unfortunately, also ( unambitious and vengeful ). those traits just make him a ( slytherin  ) and in scientific terms an ( isfj ). he is ( heterosexual ) and the plaza’s ( muso ).  his theme song is ( mr november ) by ( the national ). her/his/their interests include ( violin and piano ). he practices ( taoism ) and is a supporter of ( royal party of china ). his quirk is ( being dumb ) and favourite quote is ( the earth is littered with the ruins of empires that believed they were eternal ) by ( camille pagila ) because ( it reminds him to stay humble ). last but not least he ( does ) believe in true love.

“That is something I believe in but not something I will die or suffer for,” Lixue stated slowly. The most valuable thing she owned was her life — a close second was a perfectly well functioning body. She wanted to lose neither. “We?” Lixue scoffed softly, having noticed the slight incorrectness of the statement. “You mean I can offer to open the blockade.” And it was the only course of action they could take. Even if Jianguo was willing to pass on the crown to her, it would not happen under their current circumstances. Lixue let out a tired sigh. “It is unlikely that any of these people speak Mandarin.” And even if they did, would it matter? “In that situation we will concede whether we manage to alert anyone or not.” She would type in Lixun’s number. He would answer and he would know without a single word that something was off — but the ships would need to move and everything, everything, Lixue had worked towards for years would rank below the last of her baby teeth falling out on her list of noteworthy accomplishments. “We will see if they are bluffing or not soon.”

“They should have realized they wouldn’t accomplish anything by threatening us. This is no longer about our disagreement — there is simply no situation where we will allow them to tell us how we use our power.” Lixue found Pax Aeterna’s way far too grotesque to have any respect for it. Their acts so far had been grandiose but empty. If Meixu had returned with a scratch or a bruise a year ago, Lixue might have been more worried about their current situation. “I think when the four hours are up and we refuse to do what they say, they’ll attempt to spook us a bit but turn their attention to the weakest link here.” Lixue was a one trick pony — something she had accepted a long while ago. Every single victory she had under her belt was thanks to her poker face. Appearing unnerved was valuable. It created a false sense of power. It was difficult to say if it would work under such extraordinary circumstances but she would rather try than to admit defeat. “But…” Her voice dropped. “If it does not go that smoothly, we might want to decide what we’ll do to appease them.”

Lixue had never expected Jianguo to be the one of them who’d go and poke the bear. “We are not conceding. You do not need to entertain them,” Lixue muttered to Jianguo, switching to their own language. “In four hours they will have realized that we are pettier than they believe we are and they’ll threaten us more. 48 hours are almost up. It will not take long before the rescue team arrives.”

“How many hours of radio silence does it take before the emergency protocol gets put into use?” Her hands were tightly pressed together as she rested them on her lap. She had expected her pride to stop her from searching for guidance from Jianguo but sitting next to him had been easy. ( @jinjianguo​ )

“ alicante doesn’t provide much inspiration for gifts. my older son has turned into a teenager already, 14. i cannot think of anything to get. i suppose with christmas coming soon you will have the same problem ? ”  [ @hshqstarters​ ]

“now i think you’re being a tad dramatic, leo.” he said with a laugh, looking round the table. “i think the grandest offense i may have made is being english and having more engagements than times made down the aisle.”

“ it’s probably not something you DID, rather what you didn’t do. ” she commented whilst occupied with her reflection in the knife. her brother, the emperor, reduced to the word ‘nobodies’ ! she was certain lixue would have not taken that lightly. she scrunched her face at the english, not bothering to hide her expression to the what – fourth born bastard ? “ that’s not something you should say proudly. or out LOUD even. ” [ table seven ]

after pushing in isabela’s chair, leo settled in his seat and made one sweeping observation of the table. “ you know, as an EX, i think it’s fair i got seated at the nobodies table. ”

            WAS HE RIGHT? effie glanced around with a smile that slowly began to fade as she did; leo might have been right. “ so that’s the theory we’re running with at this table? we all did something that put us here? ” euphemia turned to the person nearest her left, “ what did you do? ” ( @beaufort-a​ , @isvbclv + everyone at table seven )

“yes,” a single word uttered after consumed by silence, as well as sympathetic, caramel hues coursing upon their azure optics. perhaps a question she shouldn’t have done, but it was a soft spot on her side, to be left exiled from your own family. it wasn’t right  “you will and i wanted to extend whatever other help i can to make it happen” 

                        “    nothing too concerning.    i just want to talk to you.    ”    by the looks of things, it would be more pleasant to talk to the tip of a knife, but he persists.    “    i’m not sure if you’re aware that the current situation in your country is affecting my sister.    i’ve tried approaching princess lixue about it, but she was non-too forthcoming.    do you know much about the arrangement  ?    ”

Is he for real? The humor that barely cushions the awkwardness of this exchange has been blown out with such fury. Ronan scrapped up what little humility he had to smile through the pain of this conversation. “..nevertheless, have you been enjoying your in Croatia?” If Ronan was really glutton for punishment, he’d be asking about his current state of affairs . 

Jianguo did not understand how one polite question had turned into this awkward mess. “Yes, it’s been very nice. I always liked the changing of the seasons. And yourself?” He tried not to sound too stilted.

“I don’t know what you two have scheduled all things considered..” his tone tapered off. “I mean no disrespect, I just know you wouldn’t be cozying up to a small fish duke like myself. Unless..” he offered a smile to break the awkwardness that filled the space between them. 

“good,” they were loyal to him. “if you don’t mind me asking,” she pauses, choosing words carefully. “do you have any updates about the empress and your daughter?”

                        “    your majesty, i was hoping i could speak to you for a moment,    ”    are the words that leave his lips as he catches up with the emperor.    heaven knows, they’re probably long overdue a chat anyway.    kris only hopes that his temperament isn’t quite like his sister’s.        ﹟    @jinjianguo​.
