Okay, wait, pause. Sam, she was coming onto you and you told her no so she fired you? That’s sexual harassment.  Yes, the photographer is the one in charge of the shoot, but they are hired by a company.  You need to find out who that is and report the photographer.  That was definitely not okay.

Okay, so both of those times weren’t your fault.  Kids will be kids. I’m assuming the little girl was okay.  Don’t worry about being fired from the shoot, Sam.  I’m sure you can find yourself other jobs. I’ll pass your name around to some photographers I know.

I don’t feel sexually harassed? I mean she didn’t try to touch me or nothing after I said no. I don’t really know how reporting her helps anything, isn’t that just kinda ruining someone’s day?

I’m not one to get in between you and your mom, so you tell her if you need to. We’ll just work toward getting you something so you don’t have to run into that situation. You know me, I’m nothing if I’m not painfully honest and blunt, so…yeah. It kind of sounds like that. Don’t let it falter you from what you’re here to do. You’ll find work out here, that much I can almost count on. I am pretty damn awesome, aren’t I? But seriously, it’s not a big deal to me. I have the resources to get you another shot, so why not utilize those?

Oh there’s totally no way anyone could get in between me and my mom anyway, we’re air tight. But that would still be really cool. Thanks for that though, San, I really needed it. I’ve been feeling kinda weird about it all lately, it’s just so much harder than I first thought it’d be sometimes.  Are you sure? Cause I hate owing people and stuff. I promise I’ll get ya what I owe. If there’s one thing I ALWAYS do it’s keep my word.

Like right after. I didn’t know that there were people like that, so I totally didn’t even think anything of it I just kinda figured it had to be something else I did, even though I was real confused about that. It was super flattering to know someone was like, interested and stuff since it’s been a long time and all. But she wasn’t my type.

If that’s what your mom thinks, then it may be wise to keep this news to yourself until you find another job. Sorta sounded like she was only nice to you to get what she wanted out of it. When you said no, she told you to hit the road. So, yeah, that’s a little toxic. You’ll find a gig where they actually want you for the job and the job only. Don’t mention it, I’m happy to help you out. I can talk with some people at work and see what connections they have. We’re all out here to succeed, so why not pull some strings to see what I can find?

Yeah, maybe.. It’s real hard to lie to her though so if she asks about it I might be doomed. Honesty is the best policy, especially with her. the only thing I haven’t ever told her about was the adult entertainer thing. Wait. I was used?? I feel so dirty all of a sudden.... And kinda pissed. Have I ever mentioned how totally awesome it is that you do that kinda thing for me? Being a super awesome PR babe. Do I like, owe you cash for that? Normally they get paid right? Paris. For all the super cliche reasons that people say it for. Maybe I'd meet the love of my life under the Eiffel Tower. Or, if I already had met the love of my life I could totally do the pro move and propose there. With like, a nice picnic of all the super romantic food you could imagine. And wine. Super fancy wine. It'd be awesome.

School really ain't my thing, so no I don't regret not going to college. I got a world full of knowledge on the street and stuff, which is like way more important than book smarts of you ask me. I mean, how did school help when my family was homeless and on the streets? It totally didn't. Busting my ass and doing whatever I had to do worked. Plus I'm doing something that's okay I guess I love so like, why would I regret anything?

People don’t normally get fired for no reason..? So either you, or your boss had to do something. And considering you’re the one without a job now… 

I guess I gotta say it a third time. 

We were just working on the shoot, y’know posing and stuff, the lady got kinda touchy which was really weird, but I said I wasn’t looking for anything cause never mix work with pleasure and then she got all weird and stuff. Said that we were all done and that I had to go home. It was weird too though cause no-one seemed to be packing up and stuff but me.

Yeah... that’s what everyone has said so far. I’m kinda bummed, dude. But I guess it just wasn’t like, meant to be or whatever. Everything happens for a reason, right? I’m not totally sure what happened. I guess I just wasn’t what they were looking for or something?

Mostly I play video games, I've been getting real into Apex Legends lately, so that's been cool. CoD is another go-to game I play lots cause it won't ever not be awesome y'know? Other than that I work out, make macaroni art. Sometimes I doodle. I went to this speed dating thing once.

People who get them look SUPER cool. The real pretty ones with loads of colour are the ones I like best. I wouldn't know what to get for myself though so I don't think they're really for me.

Okay I have so many questions.  Like 1) who fired you the photographer or the underwear company? 2) What did you do to get fired, and 3) did they say the words “you’ll never work in this town again” or “I know a lot of people.”

I’ve never been fired, no.  I’ve quit a few times.  Most notably the Lima Bean before I came to New York and the Starlight Diner when I got the assistant job with Isabelle.

That’s the good thing about New York: there are tons of opportunities where you could easily pick up a new one and your mom would never know. That sounds like a super toxic work environment that you don’t need to work in. You don’t deserve to be treated like that. I might know of some other opportunities that would be a perfect fit for you. Let me talk to some people at the office ‘cause they may have the hook-ups.

My mom kinda thinks that all modelling jobs are hard to find, so when I get one it’s a super big deal. I mean I guess she’s kinda right cause I haven’t made bank yet but y’know. Oh wait, that was toxic? What was toxic about it? She was super nice until she was telling me to go home. I didn’t think that was toxic if I was like, working bad and stuff. Even if I thought I was totally killing it, I did an extra workout and all for it. But for real!? You’d do that? That’s so awesome of you!
