Women not being allowed female separatist spaces is misogyny. Women being asked to include everyone in their own struggle is misogyny. Women being told “woman” doesn’t mean anything and in fact is nothing but an identity anyone can identify into and out of is misogyny. Women being told to center men in feminism is misogyny. Women being silenced because they are female is misogyny. Patriarchy silences women. Patriarchy teaches women they must prioritize, center and please others. Patriarchy tells women being a female human being is nothing, nothing to be proud over, nothing of value. Patriarchy makes all this seem natural, patriarchy normalizes women’s subordinatjon - and it can do so even within the feminist movement if we allow it. We mustn’t fool ourselves on this.
