y’know, i don’t like sharing things about myself. Or recommending things. I don’t see why my art can’t just stand on its own, honestly. But you don’t want anything honest from me, you just need some words to assess. I really couldn’t care less about grades, so if no artist statement means I fail the whole year, then fine I guess. Personally, I do think that would be rather silly when that’s not even what the subject is about, but we all know how the school system is :P. It’s so structured, you need to be inspired in a specific way, or pretend to be, rather than just drawing as you please. I don’t like sharing, and I don’t like lying, but I do like creating. Is that at least something? Something else about art and the school system, when will they start teaching the correct primary colours? It’s magenta, cyan and yellow. Red and blue work well enough, but they can be mixed from magenta and yellow, and magenta and cyan respectively, so by definition are not primary, but secondary. I know it’s a holdover from when we didn’t have those pigments, but we’ve had them for a while now, you think we would’ve changed. But no, the school system is very slow to change. That’s why I didn’t accept those fancy paints, by the way. They didn’t have magenta and cyan, which, because I’d planned a piece to be magenta, would not work at all. A set of art materials without a primary colour seems laughable and yet it is the norm. This is fine if you’re just doing pieces very grounded in reality, as magenta isn’t that common, but i am drawing weird air creatures in the mountains! Anyway I guess
